This gem of a Japanese style restaurant serves the least expensive sushi that is still of good quality in the greater Vancouver... area. They offer sit down dining as well as the constant stream of pickups and deliveries they send out the door. I have beenall over the lower mainland and eaten *good* sushi at dozens of shops in the Lower Mainland but this gem-roll tops my list! PS:Nishiki on south Victoria Drive comes in second with some truly great signature rolls but their prices are much higher! Read more
Been coming here for like 8-9 years! A hole in the wall across the street from Commercial Skytrain. One of my favourite spots... for value/cheap rolls. No frills, you leave full. Cash/Debit only. Recommend: 1) The Commercial Combo which includes miso soupand allows you to choose 3 items for about $13 from a vast list of appetizers, rolls, udon, cones etc. 2) Bento boxes - myfavourite #101 - Chicken Teriyaki bento which is $11.50 and comes with miso soup as well I?d skip on the sashimi/nigiri here,if that?s what you?re looking for this is probably not the place. Went here for my lunch break and it was such a pleasant surprise! I went because of the other good reviews and it?s true, this... place is very reasonably priced and the portion size is huge! They have two 3 item combos and the one for $13 is so worth it. Igot spicy agadashi tofu which had 6 big tofu and the sauce was the best I have ever had. The combo included all my favouriterolls (salmon avocado, negitoro, and dynamite) which is a rare find! The rolls were huge, especially the tempura rolls and theBC roll. Our go to weekly sushi place for take out. Have had a handful of order mistakes over the years but they are very willing to fix... it. The quality is a little inconsistent (for example the salmon taste in sushi, or the potential new change in the sushi's morerecent sour rice taste) which is why I took a star off. They are usually very speedy to fulfill the order. It is affordable.They also accommodate our custom orders and remember the order as we are regulars. Read more

We decided to give Commercial Sushi a try and we're quite surprised by the value and quality of the sushi. Ordered the Party... Tray D which we thought offered the best variety. All the rolls and nigiri were fresh and ample, nothing falling apart. We alsoadded the Victoria Roll - essentially a combo of California and Dynamite roll topped with smoked salmon, but the addition of atouch of cream cheese offered that "je ne sais quoi" element. Went for the Magic Energy Roll (no rice) which was well received,and the rice was not missed. Rounded off with the Oyako (chicken) Don (rice bowl). Unfortunately, this dish could've been betterwith more sauce, as the chicken was rather dry. All in all a good showing and we will definitely order the sushi again. The service was so poor!! The waitress defintely had an attitude, was rude and helpless. I dined in for lunch, not busy at... all,only two customer inside. The waitress did not even offer tea or water after I ordered. She just threw the combo box infront of me without even saying a single word. No check in during the whole dining period. It's like you are left on your own.She just went back to the counter to chat with the chefs all the time! The beef was so chewy, did not taste fresh. Probablythat's why they could bring the food so fast and had plenty of time chatting in the back. Horrible customer service!! Read more
