The meat tasted freezer burnt, portion was considerably smaller than other locations, the drink was very watered down and the... worst part is that the paper straw won?t pierce the plastic. I went back and asked If I could get another straw as is was bentwith a rip from trying to puncture the plastic cover, and the staff pulls out a random pair of scissors offering to puncture thecover. The owners are very kind and patient. We wondered in here because we were tired from walking. They have a nice dinning area with... power outlets and washroom. I know the other reviews don?t recommend the fish but I think the drinks are excellent, veryrefreshing and not too sweet (way better than spending $7 for a coffee)! Read more
BEST Hainanese chicken & rice we?ve had BY FAR. Chicken was juicy and had a great depth of flavor. Even the rice was amazing... because of the umami flavor given to it by the chicken broth it?s cooked in. Duck breast noodles were also superb. Duck wastender and had a great smokey flavor and the noodles had a perfect chew. Owners were extremely kind too. The food was so goodwe came again during our short half-a-week trip here. Highly recommend supporting this exceptional, yet reasonably priced, smallbusiness. Read more
Horrible food. The one at W Georgia was closed and I had to walk 14 minutes for this. They don?t speak English; food quality is... so terrible. This brand is not really consistent because my normal food choice was not on the menu of this branch and thechicken I had to order tasted like there was fish in it. Had the worst lunch experience here. Do not buy anything! I asked for fresh slices of fish in my noodle soup and the lady gave... me fish cakes.. when I even pointed at the photo. They have photos of the food and it does not look like what it was . When Iconfronted the owner, she did not even apologize and even said she did not have the fresh slices of fish though it is advertisedat their store. What a scam! I will never go back then again. Aside from a ton of plastic they use to package your order (even when eating in), they have no problem purposely overcharging... you for items that mysteriously don't have a price on their menu. You're better off supporting the other businesses in the foodcourt that won't try to rip you off. Read more
One of the best places for soup in the lower mainland. There?s not a lot of places to try Szechwan soup but this is really good.... Also try the laksa soup it?s less spicy and has a more creamy flavour from the coconut milk. Also go for the egg noodle over therice noodle. Great place to go on a cold day. The milk tea is a must have alongside the spicy soup. Staff are very friendly. Read more
Very inconsistent at-the-end pricing despite the price of each item is clear on the menu. It is highly suggested to check with... the owner about the details of each additional charge. I bough an $9.90 item (didn't ask for the "free" drink with additional$0.25 for the cup) to-go and got charged $11.30. I used DoorDash to place an order at the same place and the tax is 5%. Base onthe same tax rate, I got charged almost $1 (don't really think the to-go container is $1 for the single item I bought) Read more
