Located on the top floor of Nordstrom, Bistro Verde is a concept mix between the Nordstrom Cafe and Grill. The space is open... with tons of light, and views of downtown Vancouver. The menu features salads, sandwiches, and traditional fare. The service wasprompt. However, there was a short wait to be seated. The bar is first come. I ordered the warm Asian Chicken salad with alemon drop. Both hit the spot after a long day walking downtown. Read more
This was my first time at Bistro Verde, what a gem of a place for lunch. Great staff and service. Incredibly lovely views... overlooking the Art Gallery and Robeson Square. I gave 4 stars for the food only because with a place so nice you expected thefood to be perfect. The lobster bisque was a little on the tomatoey side, but the crab roll was very nice. Partially disappointing food. Good ambiance and service. I ordered a Caesar, appetizer Tacos and chicken sausage... rigatoni. Caesar was bitter. Like really bitter. Bacon garnish was not crispy (as advertised), clearly cooked a long time and itwas covered is grease. Tacos were hard shell, I don't like hard shell tacos. Flavor was okay. Rigatoni with chicken sausage weregood, but the sausage looked like it was chewed by a dog and spit out. Strange presentation. Also tried lobster bisque, it wasfantastic. Service was great too.
