Minerva has been around forever. Barra 41 is their sidekick bar. The food is as good as you can get for traditional Greek... cuisine. The atmosphere is awesome. The servers are lovely and accommodating. The senior lady who served us today was a lovelyEuropean grandma who was attentive and had a huge smile on her face at all times. We recently dined here in the late afternoon in their patio area which has been set up as a protected portion of Balsam... Street..not much traffic and a very friendly welcoming and relaxing atmosphere with very good service from their staff.. thepizza was very good and we finished our meal off with tasty fries.. I wasn't really sure what to expect here as Kerrisdale is not really known for, well, any nightlife or its bars. But we were in... the area, it was slightly late, and this was the only place open to grab a drink at 11 PM. Let's just say I'm glad we gave it ashot. The staff were so nice and although last call for food was done they still made us some really awesome calamari. And thecocktails were mostly really good. For me, the Barra 75 was my favourite but there wasn't a bad one in the bunch we tried. Read more
Can't give more, the ceasar salad had to much garlic, tasted that the whole meal and after. Wife's Greek salad was soggy and... only tasted like oil. I had the lamb chops... More like lamb popcorn, small small appetizer like..was enough for 3 bites (3small racks) Was cooked nice, seasoned ok. ($41 haha never again) ..Wifey had the lamb shoulder. Mostly fatty, could good bitesbut not worth $31.. Clean establishment, server was nice, waitress was pleasant. Another 1 person keeping the water filled,clearing there section, and always watching and waiting to take your plate when done. This is why the rating is better. Read more
