Great food, place wasn't busy so the service didn't take long and we got our food quickly too. It's just a bit confusing their... menu and two names for the restaurant, the menus are available in different hours that we need to ask first. We asked our waiterif the beer was a pint and he didn't seem to be sure but confirmed and when he brought it, wasn't. But in general it's a niceplace and the food was great. Read more

We were brainstorming on Sunday brunch place and we were glad we went to Bao Down. It is usually a very busy place but we went... just a little bit after noon when it has just open its door for the day. Got seated at the patio, we brought up the online menuon our phones using the QR code at the table. We did not know that what we ordered would made such a filling and tastebudsatisfying meals! The shrimp (Ebi) burrito was only $10. The tempura shrimp in the burrito was crispy and dipped in mayonnaisebefore it was wrapped in, giving it the attractive flavour you crave like when you have dynamite or dragon rolls at a sushirestaurant. The burrito does resemble sushi rolls. Lots of rice wrapped in to fill you up! The sisig chicken fly rice was verybalanced (carb, 2 proteins, & slaw) in terms of nutrition as well as flavour. Not salty at all. A little in the sweet side, butthat’s understandable for a Filipino dish. I love the soft steamed rice but some may think the rice is on the soft side. TheMs Impossible Bao has a jerky like piece of pork (?) a some lettuce and 3 pieces of pickle. The meat jerky was emerged inmayonnaise which kept the loose lettuce and jerky in place. The amount of mayo seemed to be an overkill. Last but not least, theserver was very attentive , timely and friendly . Will come back for sure. Read more

Comfortable chill vibes, so it’s the perfect place to grab some food and drinks with friends. Very friendly customer service... too. I’d recommend the Flipside and MC Dowell. My order: Flipside (Longanisa, spam, garlic mayo) $10.50 : can’t say no toSPAM! MC Dowell (Beef patty lettuce, onions, pickles, special sauce) : very interesting roll, it really tastes like a Big Macbut in sushi form. Dipping sauce was delicious. California Roll w/ Garlic Rice: Garlic rice tastes great, so it’s a spin on aclassic roll. Who Got Beef (Beef Teriyaki) $11: pretty basic beef teriyaki roll Veggie Roll $9 Shorty (Shrimp, crab, creamcheese, avo) $12 Ube Horchata $13: Has an extra kick from the alcohol and cinnamon. Lil Mai Tai (Bumbu rum, pineapple,Campari, lime) $15 Read more

Great dining atmospheres, music isn't too loud, so you can have proper conversation here. Dining environment is clean and bright... as well. Oyster platter is fresh, well selected. Baos are well seasoned, complex texture and we like it Fries are average, abit saggy when we got it (shrug) chanel 5 (?) Cocktail was beyond expectation, light flavour but well balanced taste Overallis above average dining experience, will come back again :) Read more

Really great happy hour! We went with a red pitcher of sangria, which was boozy and refreshing. Nice selection of snacks but the... standouts were: oysters, wings and baos. Love the breading on the wings and there's a variety of yummy flavours. I didn't likethe tuna tataki much because it didn't taste fresh but the crust was good. The wok squid was more peppers/onions than squid butit was tasty enough. Service was fantastic! Read more
