Reviews for Aphrodite's Organic Pie Shop in Vancouver, BC
The waiter was rude and gave annoyed looks on his face because I didn?t look at the menu fast enough for HIM. You have one job... to do .. keep the customers happy, and you failed. Maybe think of a career change if you?re so miserable. I never went back Read more
Passive aggressive staff and overpriced sub par food. The man with glasses and brown hair at the till constantly mix up orders.... Tries to call out the kitchen and at us for not getting the order right. And then will remind you about it the next time you?rein. First bite of the pies will throw all of your hopes out the window. There is absolutely no flavour or love in the rest ofthat tiny thing you paid premium price for. Same goes with the coffees and chais - Bamboozled! Never again, this place isconsistently terrible and disappointing. Read more
We ordered a strawberry rhubarb pie two days ahead for my partners birthday, and it was no problem at all. Picked it up the day... of and it was fresh, sweet and tart, and so delicious! It did take a little bit to pick it up at the shop--there was a lineup, but it's a popular place. Just have a bit of patience when you go in. :) Everything is clearly made with care and thought, andthe use of local ingredients is awesome. Their crust is thick, and not floppy--it does the job of holding the pie together, andis not too sweet. I'll be ordering again for sure! Read more
Amazing variety of pies available including GF/DF ones. Quick and friendly service too. My blueberry pie had good flavour but... the crust was a bit too crumbly. I would go back to try others. Read more
Aphrodite?s Organic Pie Shop was founded in 2003. ????All the pies and cookies are organic and fresh. The options are too many... and you?ll enjoy the taste of each. My suggestion so far: * Apple Blackberry Pie ** Coconut Cream Pie *** Berry Oat Bar ? Theyoffer over 14 different pies and all are handmade with Bc local organic ingredients. ? Fruit pies are available in two 6 & 10inch sizes. ???? Enjoy! Read more
I've always been a huge fan of pie, and often bake my own. I wanted to find the best pecan pie in Vancouver and was incredibly... disappointed. Not only were 2 slices of pie just over $17.00.... We ended up just throwing the pie out. The first picture is thetop of the pie and the last 2 are what the bottom looks like, it was so soggy, there was no salvaging it. It was too sweet, toosoggy and not worth the drive or the price. I have never thrown out pie before, it was my first time. Nothing worse than soggypie bottoms. Read more
Pie shop and cafe with homey decor and very friendly staff. Pie slices are of a substantial size and my lemon meringue was... fantastic - absolutely worth the money. They also have a great chai and other hot beverages and a good selection for lunch. Read more
Love that there?s vegan and gluten-free options!! ???? Recently pre-ordered a gluten-free crust Spinach and Wild Mushroom quiche... (vegetarian) for a gathering - kept it overnight in fridge and heated it up in oven next day, everyone who tried it wasdelighted, shout out to the amazing bakers!! ?????????? Some of my fav pies from here: - Banana cream pie - Gluten free oatstopped blueberry or apple pie Coconut cream pie and pecan pie is sweet, recommend to share as a small portion is plenty! Thechocolate pecan pie is vegan, as are most fruit pies but can taste more bland, recommend pairing with vanilla ice cream orcoconut ice cream to balance the mild taste with more creaminess and sweetness, unless you prefer more natural unprocessedflavour, which some do~ A cup of warm chai latte may be a nice addition to a fruit pie ???? For savoury vegetarian pies, theeggy spinach and wild mushroom quiche is delicious when baked, comes in whole larger pies, individual smaller pies and can havea slice from a larger pie ???? They sell local tea leaves from indigenous women owned tea company, also available to order forinside or to go! Read more
