A nice little sushi joint within a few minutes walk from the beach. The service was efficient and speedy, delivering real tasty... grub from super friendly staff. The sushi tested fresh and was served quickly, whilst plentiful. Although it wasn't the yummiestsushi I ever had, it's certainly on par with others in the area and offers a great menu variety of hot and cold dishes withreasonable prices so I wouldn't hesitate to return when in the area. My only complaint is that there was a lot of single useplastic which I hate from an environmental perspective, and also ruins the authenticity of your meal and dining experience.However, a cozy little laid back joint to sit and enjoy sushi with your friends. The edamame also tasted pretty basic storebought, but I was impressed at the tastings of agedashi tofu and the sushi Maki rolls. Miso Soup was also pretty rad and not toosalty. Decent sushi at a decent price. I got the Cherashi Don which is a good way to taste all of their seafood at a reasonable rate... (about $12). The rice could use a bit more flavour but the fish itself was fresh. Well presented making it appealing to the eyesusing a lot of colour. I?d say they should add sesame to the rice to give it a bit more of a kick. Overall a good experience.Great for lunch or a quick bite on the way. Read more
Came in on a long weekend Monday for lunch - super quick and efficient service. Food took no more than 5 mins to all come out... and it actually tasted fresh & great! Server was attentive without being overbearing and kept our teas topped up. Restaurantitself was clean and well lit, unlike some of the other nearby sushi joints on the Denman strip. Read more
Good service, quick and efficient, all our food arrived fairly quickly. No frills, a proper Japanese meal in downtown Vancouver... at a very fair price. Very busy restaurant but the servers all manage to be polite, efficient and helpful. Their kimchi Hotpotis great (yes it's a Japanese restaurant and that is a Korean dish I know).
