This was the best shawarma plate that I've ever had. Everything was fresh and the flavours really popped in my mouth. The staff... were kind and welcoming. I love shawarma and I?ve eaten it around the world. Afghani is legit. They use a masala that isn?t present in Turkish or Iranian... shawarma. It?s very tasty, almost like a curry chicks but with roasted on a giant spit tastes. My only complaint is the saucesare a bit too drippy and the donair is soaked. The tziki especially. Oh My God! Tastiest chicken wrap downtown. All halal. This is the best chicken wrap on Robson + Denman St. It was so delicious,... flavorful, and spicy because ai asked for it, the sauce was amazing!!! The staff is super friendly too. This is a quality donair, if not totally to my taste. Everything tastes very fresh with quality ingredients. It is definitely a... little different than your run of the mill donair with a more Afghani spin. They put a lot of sauces on your donair withoutasking you if you want them or you knowing what they are. This isn?t a problem for me as I enjoy a very saucy dish but I can seehow it may not be for everyone. Just be aware and ask what the sauces are. The guys working there are friendly and are actuallyentertaining to watch as they dance around preparing the donair with some flair. Read more
