Reviews for Kao Hom Thai Cuisine in Van Nuys, CA
We were lured in by the high google ratings. Not really sure why so many 5 star reviews. Very average Thai?? food. Chicken satay... was very dry, served with the fake peanut sauce. We were the only table and it took more than 30 minutes to get our food. I giveit 4 stars given the price of our meals. I have to admit this place is very cheap, but you get what you paid for. Tom Kha soup was incredible salty. We had to send back the soup. Till we were waiting for the new one our drunken noodles get... cold. My total balance was $28.4 so I decided I don’t give a regular tip as usual. I gave $1.6 tip so my total was $30 withtip. I see on my credit card statement that they charged me $33. They give themselves extra $3 tip. This is unacceptable andit’s seems like fraud !!! Read more
Staff is super friendly, polite helpful and nice. Food comes in generous sizes and clearly is labeled with spicy levels. Many... options. All the food our party ordered was great. No one ordered the same things. Forgot to take pictures. :-( Read more
Excellent Thai food. Fresh and flavourful. Clean restaurant and great service. Yellow curry is one of the best I’ve ever had.... My new go-to spot in the valley. Read more
Friendly service, quiet and clean. I ordered drunken noodles with a spice level of medium. That was spicy to me ???? delicious... but spicy. Next time I’ll go with mild. I love the option to make it as spicy as you want. I also had the chicken wingsappetizer which was more like a fatty party wingette instead of fresh chicken wings. The taste was fine, just was expectingfresh chicken wings. I had a Thai iced tea, that was yummy too! My bill was about $30. I’d return and give another try. Read more
This is a hidden gem in the valley! The food is delicious! I ordered the Orange chicken, Pad See Ew and Spring rolls, it was... really good! I’m definitely coming back here! The only downsize is the portions are small, we also ordered Thai tea and theboba was hard :( Other then that 5/5 Read more
Pretty decent thai food, prices are fair. Nothing crazy or the best thai food I ever had. But it hit the spot. We ordered tom... kha soup and chicken fried rice. Rice was a little dry. But the soup was really good. I will check out other places first but Iwill be back eventually. Not the best not the worst. Staff was quiet and soft spoken, smiled, but not much english. Very small, plenty of tables for dining, but it was empty when I got there. Read more
