Trying something new upon my arrival to the City that never sleeps. In my opinion, Diners can be a hit or miss. Valbrook Diner... was a hit! Our server Sonny was friendly in her own little way. When I inquired about the Homemade Challah French Toast, herresponse made the dish sound like the perfect choice. The food was flavorful and delivered to our table at just the righttemperature. Having ordered the French Toast, Turkey Sausage and scrambled eggs, I was pleasantly surprised by the FrenchToast. No syrup needed. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Not enough to eat 2. By the time I finished 1/2 of one turkey sausage that Ididn?t really care for, one French toast, 1/2 of my eggs and the cooked to perfection corned beef hash that I just had to try..I was extremely full. At Valwood Diner you will definitely get your money?s worth! So much so that you might waste some food. Overall experience was wonderful. I didn?t clean my plate but I left a very happy customer! They had paper menus. Like printouts. The one I had was torn. How splendid. Their water was tap water. Unfiltered. Just nasty. I... ordered a Ginger-Ale. That was fountain. So displeasing. I would no recommend this diner for drinks. They did have goodbreakfast though. I had a chicken quesadilla omelette. That was the only thing decent there. Read more
It was my birthday and several family members got together at the Valbrook Diner for lunch. We were a party of 14 adults and... kids, and each one of us were treated well. The service and food were amazing. Special preparation requests were honored withouta problem. It was the first time any of us ate at the diner, and we will definitely be back. I'm someone who loves a great Saturday morning breakfast after a long and gruesome week. I decided to try somewhere else other... than IHOP and ended up randomly coming to Valbrook Diner. From when I first entered the establishment, I was greeted withcourtesy and I knew right then and there that they valued their customers. I was granted the choice to sit where I wanted. Theatmosphere was very welcoming and everyone seemed to be happy. The sweet aroma of the food floating through the air made mymouth watery. The waitress was nice. They have many different selections on the menu. The food came rather quickly after Iordered. I also ordered a few things because I thought it would probably be small portions but I was wrong. The portions weresufficient enough. Food was very delicious and fulfilling. Highly recommend for breakfast. They do serve lunch also and I thinkdinner. Plenty of parking was available when I went there on a Saturday morning. Maybe just got lucky and the place was somewhatpacked. Will definitely revisit. Thank you for a pleasant experience! Read more
