My friend and I visited this establishment yesterday 10/16/22. We were excited because it was a black owned place and wanted... to try it. But when we got there we were super disappointed, if I could give zero stars I would. The place and decor lookedgreat and music was nice. We walked in and was unsure what to do since no one greeted us at the door. After seconds I askedthe young lady at the front should we seat ourselves, she said yes. We finally found a seat, placed our orders. We had to payand tip upfront, later finding out they didn?t have half the items on the menu. Service was horrible from start to finish. Themimosa came out with a dirty wine glass that had lip gloss/lipstick smudges at the top. I requested for it to be changed andshe quickly apologized. We waited for over an hour when another woman(unsure if she was a manager, owner or waitress) told usthey didn?t have the grits that I ordered) for shrimp and grits. She insisted I order something else. I asked for chicken andwaffles but they did not have waffle batter. She coaxed me into ordering something else and I finally decided on Caribbeanskillet which I struggled to eat and could not finish it. The Caribbean skillet hardly any salted fish, burnt and was very dry. The menu reads salt fish with potatoes and the skillet contained plantains and cassava. Seem like this restaurant justsubstitutes whatever they have on that day. My friend kindly asked about the rest of her order and the server/manager replied ?it?s coming, I only have two hands? That response was just rude after we waited patiently 90 mins for our food. This serverwas seen laughing and talking to a table next to us while we sat and waited for food that wasn?t even available. She offered usgift cards but that did not make up for the bad service and bad food. What a lovely experience. Came hungry and left full and happy. Very nice atmosphere. Perfect music selections and it wasn?t... BLASTING so you can actually enjoy a conversation with your guests. Shrimp & grits were full of flavor and enough for 2 ppl. Ohand the vanilla latte with a shot of rum was the icing on the cake for me! Read more

The shop is nice & comfortable. Waitresses are pleasant & the Pistachio Rose Latte is a nice drink. HOWEVER, my first cup was... not hot, lukewarm. I drank it because I didn't want to complain. Food: Biscuits & Sausage Gravy was COLD, the gravy wasn'treally gravy was a loose sauce which wasn't very tasty & the two biscuits were HARD. Very disappointed. No one ever asked how myfood was. ??Lady to my left ate 2 spoon full of grits & left it. Man to my right sent food back 2x's. ????Cook was walkingaround instead of focusing on the kitchen. $14.00 for ground sausage, eggs, & biscuits, at least make it good. Read more

I have patronized several times at different times of the day. The consistency is top tier. Vibes/ Food and Drinks are all... perfectly executed. Nice decor. Very welcoming and most importantly diverse. Everyone?s space is respected and i like that youcan come for some quiet time, even with people mingling and having social time. No one is loud etc. Staff are polite. They havea reward system so collect those points!! Overall 10/10. Spread the word but don?t spread the word, if you know what imean. This place is a gem. Standard Pour is exactly what Long Island needed, a nice spot that has everything our culture and the community was missing.... Good ambiance, food, a communal work space, great music, and occasional additional calmer nightlife fun (they host variousweekly events & happy hrs). Coffee tasty, espresso beverages 10/10 food 10/10. Every time I'm in Long Island I make sure to stopin. This coffee shop is super cute! Ordered shrimp and grits, my friend had the chicken and waffles and both were AMAZING! The... latte?s we tried was delicious! I loved the winter spice latte and even ordered another to go! Definitely will come back andwill bring my friends! Very cute, cozy and beautiful brunch! The owners were also amazing queens! Chocolate rose pistachio latte is everything. I love there cupcakes too. The Avocado toast is amazing. The spot is classy and... such a must have stop if you're in the area. They now also have wine nights too! Read more
