Reviews for Seeda Thai in Valley Stream, NY
This is good comfort food. All curries were terrific. However the stir fry needs a bit more flavor that complements the soy... sauce. The dumplings also break when you pick them with a fork. We will come back for the frog?s legs! Read more
Randomly went here on a Wednesday evening with friends. It is a small restaurant but clean and welcoming. Dainty atmosphere but... inviting. I had the whole fried sea bass with special house sauce which was not flavorful at all. The fish was fried perfectlybut the sauce was not flavorful at all. The tamarind duck was mediocre and lacked flavor as well. The prices are affordable andthe Thai iced tea was good. I?ll probably recommend for a take out option but I wouldn?t be returning because I was not wowedenough to return. Note: I am a Thai food junkie so this review may be bias based on the rich Thai flavors I know and love Thaidishes to have. Read more
If you are thinking of visiting here, DON'T!! When I say this is "The Worst" food, not just Thai food, I have ever had. I... ordered fried wontons, drunken noodles and something they had called, "exotic chicken" (which was by no means exotic). Thedrunken noodles was the worst of all. It was bland and bitter. I could only taste the burned chili flakes in it. This is thefirst time I've ever returned food back to the kitchen at a resturant. I told them it was bland and bitter. The server took itback to the kitchen and came back saying, "this should be good." It tasted the same except it was warmer. The chef needs to knowthat tossing food back in the wok doesn't make bland and bitter food delicious. Then the exotic chicken, which they claimed istheir best seller. And guess what, it wasn't. It comes with a pan fried chicken breast, a side of yellow rice with a cherry ontop (peculiar choice of topping for rice if you ask me) and a side of peanut sauce. The dish just simply bland. The chickenwas drier than the Sahara desert. No amount of peanut sauce was enough to save the driest and blandest chicken and rice withcherry on top. The wontons was drenched in oil. Streams of oil flooded out of it in every bite. It tasted like cheap, frozenwontons that was microwaved and then dipped in oil. I would not even offer this food to my worst enemy. I cried at theresturant, Thai food is one of my most favorite cuisins and now its completely ruined for me. Please don't waste your time andmoney on food this bad. Read more
Had the shrimp drunken noodles. Spicy and bursting with flavor!
Hands down, without a doubt, the best thai food on Long Island. Pay no attention to anyone who leaves a negative comment. They... must have no sense of taste. This place is phenomenal. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating... Everything I'veever ordered here was incredibly delicious and the Mai Tai's at this place are a taste of heaven. The wife and I LOVE SeedaThai! Small, unassuming family-run restaurant offering tasty, genuinely authentic Thai flavors, closes to the real stuff you get in... Thailand. Try their fish cake and drunken flat noodles, excellent !! Read more
Salad was humongous. Everything was delicious. The hit to the stars was based on our waitress. She was ok but not really... pleasant. I wanted to take something to go but missed the kitchen by 10 minutes. They were still bringing food out to otherpatrons and I felt they could've been a little more flexible in this area. Read more
I have eaten here several times in the past(prior to the pandemic) and the food was great, but today was not good. My food had... spice heat, but not tasty. I love the Thai Ice Tea and spring rolls, but my entree was not a hit. I will eventually give themanother shot. Read more
