Came in late because I work the late shift at my job and have no other option than to dine late at night. The food was atrocious... and the service was not much better. Basically paid $20 for three small chicken tenders over squishy bland pasta and I didn?teven eat the pasta. My husband got the steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli and the steak was rubbery and the broccoli lookedso dead and smelled nasty. The best thing on his plate were the mashed potatoes and he said that he could make better ones froman Idahoan packet that we have at home. The atmosphere in the restaurant was like a back alley bar. The music was SO LOUD Icould barely even think. My husband and I were sitting together on the same side of the table in a booth seat and we werestruggling to hear each other speak the whole time. Bathrooms were disgusting. Table was sticky. Everything that could go wrongwith this place went wrong. Thank you for reminding me why I hate Applebee?s. Do better! Read more
Went to eat here and no one was acting as hostess and Noone greeted us. The bar tender looked at us and said nothing! We seated... ourselves and she finally came over with No greeting and said that we shouldn't sit there because that table was trouble. Shetold us to sit somewhere else. She then went over to clear a table, I asked if it was "seat yourself" and she replied, "No notreally! And then said that she would be with us as soon as she could. A menu would of been nice at this point. Clearing a tablein an empty restaurant does not take precedence over your customers. A "Hello or some greeting would gave been good as well. This place is under staffed big time. I went for lunch and waited to be seated for about 10 mins before leaving. There was 2... waiters serving tables. One of them acknowledged I was there and said they would be with me shortly but never returned. Therewere plenty of available seats it just seemed like they needed help. This is a bad reflection on the management as well as theApplebee's brand. I'm not sure if they are hiring but something needs to be done. Read more
Ever watched the movie "Waiting"? This is it to a tee. Wonderful staff in a road side city, 2 for 1 Miller is a deal you cant... say no to though. Could definitely use a remodel because the carpet looks pretty rough, god only knows what the kitchen lookslike. Food came out pretty good though. Read more
I was absolutely shocked when I started to eat my salad. It was disgusting. The greens were mostly brown; the strawberries a... long way from being fresh; and the pecans were awful. It was so bad we called the restaurant and lodged a firm complaint. Themanager apologized and assured us he would email a gift certificate for a new salad. This was four weeks ago and we've receivednothing from them. I've never been so disappointed in an Applebee's and it's management. Read more
Applebee's on St. Augustin isn't the best as a local I tend to stay away from eateries near the interstate because the service... is poor. So late this past Friday October 21st my cousins decided to get me out the house bc I'm suffering from a broken leg.Upon entering there was no sense of urgency to set me as I have on a cast and on crutches so we sat ourselves. The bartendersome lady idk her name had a shaved head, plaited bun ponytail and Blue eyebrows was working the bar, instead of greeting usupon sitting down she states "I guess they gone seat they self then". The hostess comes over upon me stating how rude thebartender was she excuses her behavior and says "oh she just gets frustrated when people come in here" My response baby ifpeople irritate her she should avoid working in the hospitality industry. This Applebee's is surviving off its name sake alone,if good customer service, knowledge of the menu and things like that make you want to dine in somewhere go to a mom and pop likeBig Nick's bc this was really a zero but my chicken quesadilla was alright, the tequila sunrise tasted like sunny d, very poorexperience.
