Will not be going back to Fillis in Valatie. Employees seem to be annoyed coming in an hour before closing. Ordered five... sandwiches, barely any meat on the sandwiches or lettuce. Two out of five sandwiches were wrong. After repeating it twice tomake sure everything was right. Didn't think i had to check before leaving. Definitely not like Fillis in Claverack! Read more
Absolutely amazing pastries subs and bulk meat. I can order bulk meat on a Monday and pickup on Tuesday. So convenient.
We had heard good things about Filli's, so we drove over 30 minutes out of our way to see for ourselves. Small town, quaint... shop, pretty good looking treats and foods in their display, and a decent chalkboarded menu. We saw one older blonde employeelacking smiles talking rather harshly on the phone with a customer attempting to place an order -- but we chose to try to ignoreit. We hoped that it was circumstantial, or maybe she was one bad apple-employee.... After deciding what we wanted to order,we turned toward the counter, waiting for the customer before us to gather their things so we could approach. A brown-hairedman-employee was looking at us with a nearly angry expression before we realized that he had said "What can I get you". As weapproached, he repeated with a bit more hostility, "What do you want". We briefly looked at each other in disbelief and thenturned to him to reluctantly proceed with our order and he interrupted with "You let me know when you're ready" and he walkedaway with me in the midst of speaking our order. Wow! I know that the post-Covid world in which we live is supportive ofblanket rudeness and has ushered-in a new era devoid of traditional customer service, but Filli's just took it to a whole newlevel! We left, unwilling to even share our money at the local McDonalds for fear that we, in some indirect way, would besupporting a community that allowed Filli's to do business there. If you go there, bring a GoPro so you can relive yournightmare. Read more
My first visit. Decent food, far prices, cool atmosphere. Customer service was formal and efficient but pretty blatantly lacked... any welcoming enthusiasm. We will definitely go back again and try some other subs that sounded great on the menu. Read more
Great selection of high quality deli sandwiches and more. Their roast beef is a must have! Quick friendly service too!
Amazing Canolis freshly filled! Great selection of deli and breads, amazing sandwiches made fresh, you can have your sandwich... your way, you can get the roast beef heated and the bread toasted and it?s great! Bakery is fresh and made daily. You can sitdown outside and socially distance just fine at this place! Read more
Idk what "jersey baking" is all about...but this place ROCKS!! Friendly staff, delicious breakfast wraps, and this Irish cream... lobster tail is OUT OF CONTROL (yes, I'm eating it in bed) ????????!! Thanks, Filli deli for being great!! I will recommend toeveryone I know, and will definitely be returning for more yummy stuff! Totally worth a 30 minute drive from Albany! Read more
Oh my god I had the best roast beef sub in my life in this place. I walked in and was amazed at how old school it was like old... fashioned deli. The staff was outstanding made everything fresh and the sub was huge I apologize for not taking a phot of theamazing sub it was to damn good and I ate it before I realized I wanted a photo of it. If you are in valatie NY or passingthrough you need to get lunch here. And to top it all off they had my favorite beverage cheer wine in a bottle just outstanding.And check out the photos.
