Reviews for Grill on the Gore in Vail, CO
Nice place to have lunch. Very pleasant, perhaps delightful.
My family stopped in for dinner and the customer service was absolutely terrible!!! From the moment we sat down on the patio,... which was NOT busy, the waiter was very short and rude with us. We had to wave him over to get our drink order in and waited aVERY long time to receive our drinks. We actually received our food before our drinks, which we ordered our food 5 minutes afterour drinks. The waiter dropped off our drinks and ran off before we could even tell him we needed ketchup. We tried to order a2nd drink and once again couldn't find the waiter. The manager, who was literally one table over, was of no help and thoughttalking to a couple for 20+ minutes was more important than helping or checking in on customers. She kept talking about weddingsand personal stuff and come to find out the gentleman was an employee at the golf course. We tried to get her attention, but shehad no interest. Finally, the waiter came out and dropped off our check and my husband asked for another beer and the waitersaid we are closing. There were still 2 other tables eating, which we mentioned, so he said ok in a rude tone. Once again, wewere waiting on the waiter to deliver the beer, which we could see that it was poured and on the bar. However, the waiter wastoo busy cleaning up as he obviously just wanted to get out of there. I called over the manager, who was still talking to thecouple, and she said he will bring it when he gets a moment. Are you kidding me?? Got the beer, paid our tab and will NEVER beback!!!! The food was NOT good and was VERY expensive for what you get...Very disappointing especially when you own a place inEast Vail and the food options are limited to begin with. Read more

Great food, great menu, great atmosphere, great service. Looking forward to coming back more next summer for dinner on the... patio. As locals, we would love if this place stayed open for dinner in the winter.. especially the soup/ chili buffet orsmoked wings would be amazing after skiing or xc. Love the new bao buns and butternut squash soup. Read more
This was an unexpected treat after a day of snow activities. They have a soup buffet that smelled terrific when you walked in. ... Soups, Buffalo chili, artisan breads, and cornbread were on the menu. The cornbread looked and tasted fabulous. Not allcornbread is created equal and these stood out. One had Fresno and/or jalapeno peppers, and the other had cheese. The soup wonreviews from my girlfriend. They also serve melts. I ordered the special melt of the day which was pork belly with coleslawwhich was served with chutney and a salad. Again, an unexpected gourmet treat. Everything was very tasty. The restaurant issuper clean and the staff is very friendly, helpful, courteous, and efficient. This was an all-around pleasant experience Ihope to duplicate. Read more
