My husband and I decided to have dinner here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was so amazing!
My only regret was not going light enough on breakfast and lunch to truly indulge in an appetizer and dessert here. The Tijuana... Daisy with watermelon and Tequila alone was worth coming for, and the Tri Tip was perfectly prepared and accompanied by a rootvegetable medley. Fantastic experience from start to finish! Service was fantastic. The cocktails were strong and they had a well stocked bar. All... of our food was super tasty ???????? My boyfriend could not stop talking about his Iberico steak which was delicious! My petitefilet was temped perfectly, had a fantastic char and the Demi was flavorful. The smoked andouille sausage app was a totalsurprise, very clunky on the plate but rediculously tasty! Overall we will definitely be back. My husband & I had dinner here for the first time last night and it was phenomenal! You can really tell how passionate the chef... and kitchen staff are about cooking through the food they serve. Everything we ate was incredible and locally sourced. The waitstaff were also super accommodating and amazing when we showed up with no reservation and I had dietary restrictions. Had a great birthday dinner with my wife. It was our first time going to M?tus Utica. They have a $65 per person prix fixe four... course menu which we went with. We got beef empanadas as an extra appetizer. The mushrooms were an add on to the main course.Relaxed, attentive, and personal service. Highly recommend eating here anytime. Plan a couple hours if you’re looking to enjoythis worthwhile dining experience. Read more

Excellent service and very good food. Maybe a little overpriced and the wine pours are skimpy, though my cocktail was generous... enough. Very nice ambience, though I'm old school enough to think that restaurants that charge $38 for a main course should havetablecloths. I will likely go back. This place is ambitious and creative and deserves a chance. Read more
The place is cute, but way overpriced for what they are. First, we always share our dinner. Two of everything is just too much... food for us. For years at every restaurant we go to, we order one or two appetizers, an entree & a dessert, in addition to a fewdrinks, always leaving us feeling full. Motus, however, is the first place to charge us a “sharing fee”. It was $10 and inour opinion, short cited. We paid it, but the feeling it left with us insured we would never return. There are several goodrestaurants in Utica where we share entrees… Ocean Blue, Aqua Vino, Delmonicos, etc… we have never spent less than $100 fordinner at any of them (usually more like $250-$350 when we bring guests) and none of these restaurants have EVER charged us asharing fee. Also, maybe our server was new, but she seriously lacked that ability to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Ialso want to mention that our pasta entree was not good… the pasta was too Al dente, bland & very oily, but when we sent itback a more experienced server (or possibly she was a manager) recommended a different dish, which we ordered and were notcharged for and we appreciated. Frankly, that right there is what saved their tip. Sadly, Motus will be a one off for us. Read more
