We were celebrating my son's birthday, and when went to another ice-cream store to pick up the cake we ordered 2 weeks ago, I... was told that they had fired the cake decorator, but made no attempt to call us. Since we were in the area we stop by this storeand asked if they had any cakes available, and low and behold they had two, but the still had to be finished with icing. Heasked what colors and asked to give him 20 minutes. Believe him name was Steve, going off the receipt, got us a cake and savedthe day. Went above and beyond. It has really upgraded since new ownership! Staff is very courteous and friendly. The are finally taking cash and even have... drinks. The menu has upgraded. I wish marshmallow sky was back. They now have sodas and candy. Great family Sunday trip. Read more
I got the impression very quickly that the staff either disliked kids or maybe very rarely served kids in their store, but I was... a tourist and they serve ice cream and my four kids wanted ice cream so this was the place google recommended based on mylocation. I think management should make staff aware that no matter what the neighborhood vibe is an ice cream joint is going toattract kids from time to time and if you don't care for them then they need to find employment elsewhere! The last time we went to this location we had great service and ice cream last winter. We went yesterday and the service was... awful. We requested kids cup at the kids price, the worker said they didn?t have any. So we requested smalls. The lids weren?tput on properly and ice cream for 5 leaked everywhere. We requested napkins and a sack. No word response was given. Just a shakeof the head no. Also the ice cream was not fresh. It had freezer burn on every flavor and tasted stale. My cherry garcia hadchunks of nuts in it even though that flavor has none. For a family of 5 it was somehow 38 bucks even though calculations saydifferently but we had already left. It would have been cheaper to go to a store and buy two pints. Frustrating because fundsare limited and wanted the kids to have a nice afternoon and it all essentially went in the trash. Ice cream was really good but it was hard to tell if they were open or not. It was Memorial Day and the sole employee working... was sitting on the floor behind the counter, not wanting to be seen. A lot of other people thought the shop was closed untilthey saw me and my relative go in. There was only one small table to eat at and it was dirty and disgusting. I stopped by here as I was looking for something refreshing to eat on the Delmar Loop. This was the only place that did not have... a long line. They have lots of flavors but were missing a few. The staff was quick at getting my order. However, they did notlook like they were enjoying their job. They also forgot to refill the spoon dispenser so that made it initially hard to eat. Read more
I have not eaten Ben and Jerries in quite some time. Therefore I decided to stop by the location in the U City Loop on Delmar... Boulevard. They have so many delicious varieties. ???? yummy!
