You need to make a reservation if you plan on coming here over the weekend. Very important. I had the Jagr Schnitzel as well as... a "something" magic desert that was fruit like that you find in canned fruit, mixed with vanilla ice cream and brandy. Had aGerman ale that was on tap. The Schnitzel was fantastic. A little on the small portion size. Being the -1 star. The German alewas excellent, though I favor IPA more. The magic desert was also great. These three items were just shy of 50 dollars. Theambiance gives an old dutch/british hybrid kind of feel. Loved it. If you're coming with a small group of 3 or so I wouldhighly recommend the Haus Platters! Read more

Cannot believe I missed this spot. Aside from food, the decor makes you feel like you are in a German restaurant. The waitress... are extremely friendly and very proud of the food served with great knowledge. I read about Schnitzel and it does notdisappoint. I ordered the restaurant signature item and the crust is thin but very crispy. The meat is juicy and tender andwork very well with then mushroom sauce on top. Lovely side potatoes and broccoli. My friend had the ham and beef consomméand he says the trip is well worth it Read more

I celebrated my birthday at Old Country Inn 5 years ago and enjoyed the experience, it is a nice place for Austrian food. I like... the Sacher Torte. The food portion was small though... great service and nice atmosphere. Read more

Came here on a Tuesday late afternoon (5:30 p.m.) and there was already quite a number of people eating. The place was pretty... busy for a weeknight. We both ordered a schnitzel dinner & it came out really quickly but it was piping hot which I loved. Thedinner comes with home fries and vegetables (broccoli) however I changed the fries to spaetzle at a additional cost of $1.99. Myhubby changed both his sides which bumped his meal up by $4 which is a bit steep for schnitzel. The schnitzel had a nice lightbreading & was pretty good. I got mushroom sauce on mine which was yummy but needed more. The spaetzle was okay as I've hadbetter. Overall, the meal was enjoyable. We want to go back when they start game season. Read more

The food was really good and the service was amazing. They knew a lot about the food they were serving. The portions were very... large. The kids menu had plenty of food and the platter too, it could've served 4 people! The ambience was very pretty as well. The food was great but it was quite expensive, around 200 for 6 people. I do recommend you try it if you come to Unionville, agreat experience. Read more

I took my in-laws here when they were visiting Toronto. The food is quite good and unsurprisingly not pricey at all in a... touristy spot. I had ham and highly recommending getting two pieces instead of one, very tender! The restaurant building itselfis historical and staffs are very nice. Read more

My absolute go-to restaurant in Unionville that definitely has that European vibe! I love the fact that they maintained and... turned a house that?s more than 150 years old into a place where people can come and dine in. As a European myself, I can attestto the authenticity of the food, which remains delicious over the years. The staff is friendly and kind, and the prices are veryreasonable. Read more
