This place has a nice vibe and diverse crowd. Would have given this place 5stars but for the lack of any espresso based drinks.... Probably my ignorance and assumed it's a regular coffee shop. Great drinks, sandos, and staff. Definitely coming back. Came on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't too busy and I was able to... order right away. They didn't have their full menu available when I went. I ordered a Mclovin sandwich and gangsta's paradisebut they didn't have mint so they couldn't make the gangsta's paradise. I asked the barista to surprise me with another drinkand he made an In Love with Da Coco for me. The drink has lots of caffeine and was super tasty with a nice coconut taste thatisn't overpowering. You have to drink it quick though before the coconut shavings get soggy. The Mclovin was good, theirhomemade aioli really makes the sandwich tasty. Read more
I used to go to the old coffee shop in this location and decided to pop in while in the area. I really do not know what they... did, but the Rick Ro$$ with cold brew was delicious. A quaint coffee shop located downtown. They have uniquely named menu items that pack a tasty punch! I got the Yonce coffee and... McLovin' sandwich. I typically don't like Chipotle sauce, but theirs was tasty and the sandwich was great (just look at thatcheese)! Yonce is delicious with a light sweet caramel flavor. The shop itself is decorated with cute furniture giving it anat-home feeling. I'll be back to try more! Read more
Great service and location! The flavor combination of the Rick Ross was excellent and the Mclovin had some spicy aioli kick to... match the heaping portion of cheese and sausage. Can't wait to come back and try the others. You can buy half gallon jugs ofdrinks to go if you love the flavors. You can also adjust the sweetness for drinks as well. Where do I even start... This place is definitely for coffee lovers! And is a must try! I have never been to a coffee cafe that... really welcomes you into the store. The staff here are amazing! The vibes and energy you get here are one of a kind. HippiesBrew has two location which is the one in Union City on Smith Street and the other is in Hayward in the Hayward Library on Cstreet. They use to have a location on foothill years ago which is why some people maybe confused about the location in Hayward,but I am so glad that they came back and are bigger than ever! My go to coffee is the Rick Ross which is cinnamon vanilla sweetcream cold brew with cocoa powder and it is sooooo amazing. Because we are living in the pandemic at the moment and some peoplewant to get coffee, but don't want to take the risk of being exposed by getting it everyday (no worries Hippies got your back!)they sell baby gallons, half a gallons, and gallons for certain drinks! They also have a preorder website and walk ins to buy onthe spot. Literally my happy place! Take my word and try you won't regret it!! Read more
This place definitely tries its best to have customers social distance. There are markers on the floor, telling you where to... stand. There?s a menu on the outside of the front door. True they only offer cold brews right now, but it?s still pretty worthit. I spent $11 for two medium cold brews and I?d probably spend the same at Starbucks anyways. Read more
