Went and got the whiting fish sandwich and it had a weird and funny taste to it! Do not know what they use or what they fry it... in but its not good at all! Do not buy the whiting fish! The Jollof rice was flavored well but very sticky! I had jollof ricebefore it was not like that. First time eating here and last time. Read more
In my opinion the food was tasty. I had the sauted spinach, mac and cheese and the catfish with a side order of yams. Wasn't... expecting the yams to be mashed sweet potato. Overall the food was good. They definitely need to work on customer service!!!Having not so pleasant people taking orders can definitely bring a business down driving away customer. Read more
This was our first time ordering from Taste of Flava and we had high hopes of enjoying some of the mouth watering cuisine on... their menu. Everything on the menu sounded so delicious that we sat for an hour trying to decide what to order and evencontemplated ordering several dishes. When we finally narrowed down what we wanted to order and called Taste of Flava to placeour order we were put on hold for quite a long time. We called back and the customer service received was not pleasant at all.The woman who took our order sounded as if she was uninterested in taking our order and wanted to rush off the phone. Needlessto say, when we arrived, there was at least one pleasant woman behind the counter who greeted us with an enthusiastic smile andappeared to be happy to serve the customers. After picking up our order we were so hungry and anxious to get home and eat...justto be disappointed. The only thing we enjoyed were the fried shrimp, mac and cheese, hennessy and sweet ginger wings. The potatosalad, jasmine rice and cabbage were bland. The Dream Team Chicken and Shrimp Dinner needed to be marinated instead of havingseasoning sprinkled on it and cooked. The food is Always fresh, always hot. Patience does need to be exercised when ordering because this is not a fast food place,... this is good food fast. They make each order when it is called in and it is absolutely delicious. I encourage you to try thisplace out now if you want some great soul food. Total rip off. We ordered chicken and shrimp and broccoli with spicy rice. Paid $50, we got $20.50 for change. There was no... broccoli, it was the size of a round tin. On the menu it's $17 without broccoli and $20 with broccoli. So why did we pay $30? Ithought because maybe we ordered a large size but no, it was just one person size. When we took it home, we hoped it would atleast tastes good. The chicken was dry, and the rice was soaked in oil. Really upsetting. Read more
