Nachos are the best nachos around! Ask for the chips on the side because I?ve had them stale a couple of time and it totally... ruined it for me. I will complain about them closing without notice, you?ll look on Google and it says open but when you show upthey are closed without a note on the door, don?t even know when they will be open next, I?ve been trying to get food from them3 times now. Have a second option of food when you come here so you are prepared if they are closed and then you?re not sittingin the parking lot going back in forth with your S.O. Or kids about what to eat. AMAZING AUTHENTIC TACOS. You can never go wrong with amazing, authentic Mexican food. Tacos, enchiladas, tortas, burritos, Carne... asada fries, burgers, meat plates, (chicken and steak) and they even have a breakfast menu ???? Everything can be topped withtheir amazing red or green sauce. (I like both) This place deserves 10 stars! I recommend this to a lot of my guests who visitmy hotel! Read more

I have eaten at the taco shop more than once a week for the last few months. Today, I ordered the 20 taco platter that I have... ordered multiple times and was told that the price had gone up. I commented that the price increase seemed large (33% or $10 forthe tacos and an additional $7 for cheese.) and placed my order for the taco platter for just over $50. Last week I paid $34 forthe same order. When I arrived, I saw on the menu that individual tacos are listed for $1.75. I asked why I could buy 20individual tacos for less than 20 tacos on the platter. This upset her enough that she while trying to pay for the tacos, shetook my order back to the kitchen and told me she would not serve me because I complained. I don't have a problem withbusinesses raising prices to compete with todays cost for doing business. I think that my question about it being cheaper to buythe tacos 1 at a time instead of a pack of 20 is a fair question. It is unfortunate that this is the route the owners have takentowards a loyal customer. I didn't ask for a discount or deal, I was polite and professional. I just had a question aboutpricing. For the person that made the decision to not sell me the tacos; we had to find a different place for lunch and itcaused some issues with getting to eat before having to be back at work. Instead of telling me the price increase is in processor some other non-answer and sending me on my way with my lunch, you lost a customer. I am hoping that in the future, the peoplethat are working with the customers do a better job of making sure they come back. Read more

I usually don't start with a review of dessert but the flan at the Taco Shop is phenomenal! The best in Tyler and probably one... of the best I've ever had. That being said, the tacos are very good. Love the El Pastor. The beans and rice are very good. Therice, especially, has a great flavor. Not the usual throw-away side dish. The chicken enchiladas were also very tasty. The ElPastor torta is also fantastic! Can't wait to try more items from the menu. Read more

Great Tortas - and great prices. Very clean - lady at front is always keeping an eye on the tables and staying on top of things.

A friend introduced me to the Taco Shop a few weeks ago and I was instantly hooked. The steak "mini" tacos (pictured) are... excellent. Both green and red sauces are great as well. Don't expect a taco with 100 ingredients like torchys. The Taco Shophas simple, quality tacos. Load it up with red and green sauce and you're good to go. Rice and beans are good too. I stronglyrecommend making this place your Taco Tuesday place. We do. Read more
