Executive Chef Eric Schlicht and staff hit it out of the park tonight. Since opening in 2021, Prime 102 has been on the top of... the list in fine dining in East Texas. Hats off and a huge thank you to owner, Steve Barnhart for bringing this diningexperience to Tyler! The Filet and Sea Bass were out of this world. Lobster Mac and cheese was to die for. We topped it offwith their famous butter cake and vanilla ice cream. The staff were professional and accommodating from start to finish. Read more

Exquisite service, making sure we had everything we desired to ensure we had a very good time, not rushing us at all. We were... able to savor each bite of their delicious tomahawk and porterhouse steaks at our own pace, as we love to take our time to savorthe flavors and textures in each chew! Honey Glazed Berkshire Pork Belly is very crispy and delicious, as well as the crab andcorn chowder! Buttery cake with caramel and ice cream was a wonderful end to our meal! Chef Eric Schlicht, Toni our server, andothers with the owners made sure we were having a great meal and time together as husband and wife. Definitely will come backwhen we have a special date! ???????? Read more

This is definitely one of the better steak houses in Tyler and never disappoints. Highly recommend the Tuna Tar Tar as a... personal favorite to start off with. My go to drink is an old fashioned but also recommend the brick street. I typically havethe filet as it is probably one (if not the) best steaks in Tyler. Haven't tried the other more expensive cuts but I'm sure theywould be amazing. The bread pudding is fantastic. Probably one of the best I've had, and I've had alot. Our waiter mentionedthat they were working for the past few months on a layered chocolate cake. After 3 months of perfecting it was going to beready for today. Unfortunately, we convinced them to sell us the entire cake and review it ourselves. So you will have towait. If you like a layered chocolate cake this does not disappoint. It's the right amount of chocolate without being too much.Near perfection. If your looking for a higher end dining experience, or a great meal for a special occasion. Can't go wronghere. Read more

I can?t say enough good about Prime 102 in Tyler. I?ve eaten here regularly for lunch, and it is our go-to place for special... occasions. Well, occasions don?t get any more special than last night. My wife and I were blessed to join a group of studentsfrom Whitehouse High School for dinner before their Jr/Senior Prom. These students and teachers from the Life Skills program atWHS were treated like royalty by the owners and staff of Prime 102. Peri, Kevin, Jen, and everyone else involved gave thesespecial kids the service they would have lavished on CEOs or celebrities. The chef prepared a special menu, tailored around themany dietary restrictions and preferences. The adults ordered from the regular menu, and all agreed that the steaks and sideswere off-the-chart good. I think we?ve found a permanent home for this annual tradition. I could say ?thank you? a thousandtimes and not scratch the surface of the gratitude I have for the staff and ownership of Prime 102! Read more

This place is awesome, the 16oz Ribeye was delicious and cooked to perfection, still tender and juicy, the lobster Mac and... cheese was a perfect side dish to pair with the steak too. Bread was served with lemon garlic butter that has a flavor likenothing I'd had before and I loved it. The dining area was beautiful and a perfect setting for date night, and was not overlyloud, our waiter was awesome too. Read more

'Jen' and 'Casey' (sorry if misspelled), thank you for making our dining experience enjoyable. Service was great! My wife and I... started with the Steakhouse Caesar salad and the Honey Glazed Berkshire Pork Belly. Our experience with the starters promised agood night. For our entrees, my wife had the Crab Cake Dinner, and I chose the 22 oz. Bone-In Rib Eye. We chose the LoadedPotato Casserole and Lobster Mac & Cheese for sides. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the crab cakes, full of succulentcrab, was wonderful. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was superb. The Potato Casserole was a bit dry, but good. Overall it was a greatevening. Read more

We tried to get reservations here the day of and were told they were booked. We showed up anyway around 8pm in hopes of maybe... getting a table in the corner bar. When we arrived we got lucky because several reservations ended up being no show's. We wereseated immediately. Justin was our waiter and he was awesome. Very personable and friendly. We ordered a crab cake appetizer. Itwas really good but for the price, we expected more than one crab cake. I also had a margarita but it was very bitter and notsweet at all. My husband ordered the lamb and he was not impressed. We've had lamb one other time in Jamaica and it wasabsolutely delicious. This lamb tasted nothing like it. Not much flavor, very bland. I had filet medallions and they were prettygood. We shared the lobster Mac and cheese and it was very underwhelming. Also very bland and the noodles were too firm.Overall, the staff was nice and we enjoyed ourselves so we will return. Oh and the bread and butter was probably the best thingwe had. Amazing ???? What a great find, a steak house in East Texas that bests those found in the big cities. From the server, Matt, to the chef,... Eric, we not only had a relaxing time but we had great food. Matt did a great job of describing all of our options and we endedup getting the Cauliflower steak as a side (it was delicious and recommended). From the steaks that were cooked perfectly tothe Crab cakes, to the Pork Chops and to finish with the great desserts (forgot about one of the starter - Lobster bisque wassome of the best)?.. we are still talking about how great everything was and looking forward to our next visit. In regards tothe interior, it is set in an old bank complete with the old teller stations. When you visit, ask if Steve is there and whythey choose the location and name - he has a great story.
