This lil off the beaten path restaurant was a highly and must recommendation by so many that I decided to stop for lunch on the... way back south and it didn't disappoint. The wait was worth it get there sooner then later because it does get busy at times andfor a good reason. Flavor was phenomenal and portions will definitely fill you to the point where you will have to take therefamous pie and carrot cake with you. From onion rings to the the salmon sandwich you will not be disappointed. Can't wait totry the carrot cake and and north shore berry crumb pie that we got to go. Read more

Wife had the Smoked Brisket Nachos (labeled Gluten Free) I wanted to try the Cherry Smoked BBQ Pork Rips (also listed as Gluten... Free) but they were sold out. So I went with the Fish Taco. Both the Nachos and Tacos were amazing, server was super friendlyand nice. We?re fairly close will definitely be back to try more of the delicious food. Took some Gluten-free Lemon Angel andCaramel Apple Pecan pie home for dessert. Read more

Enjoyed a tasty lunch at this popular roadside diner. Linda provided top service and our wait (both to be seated and to be... served) was very reasonable considering it was noon on a Saturday in July. Indoor and outdoor seating environments were cleanand inviting. Prices a little north of average but in line with other north shore options. We had a Reuben and a Turkey sandwichalong with splitting a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie. Our tummies left happy! Read more

Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was busy. Greeting you as you come in is a display case of chocolates and a plethora of... North Shore/Two Harbors souvenirs. The place is homey and the staff, who might be short, still made sure everyone was taken careof. The walleye cake was great. Loved the chunks of walleye. My turkey club sandwich combo was good. It had jam in it which wethought was interesting. My husband got their ribs and both of us couldn?t finish our plates because the portions are huge. Finally, the cherry peach pie was fantastic. The crust was the amazing part. Would love to come back here next time. Read more

This cute little Cafe was recommend to us for breakfast. While we didn't make it for breakfast due to hiking, we decided to try... for the Cafe for a late lunch/early dinner. The food was delicious, in satisfactory portions and at decent prices. They alsohave pies in several flavors and a beautiful display case of amazing chocolates. The attached gift shop is also very cute - withan amazing variety of items to choose from. Looking forward to going again when we get back to the North Shore! Read more

We stopped here for breakfast. The service was excellent. We were seated quickly and our drinks arrived shortly after. ... Breakfast was delicious, all of our dishes were great and we all cleaned our plates. We ordered a strawberry rhubarb pie totake home. The place was very clean and well staffed. We did not get a chance to stop in the gift shop but it did look likethey carried a wide variety of really cool local products. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a heartyfilling meal and friendly service! Read more

Really enjoyed stopping by for lunch, pie and a stroll through the cute gift shop. Perfect if looking for you ? up north... souvenir?. They carried both Two Harbors & Castle Danger as well as Lake Superior finds band a few things Duluth. The food wasgreat. We had a child with grilled cheese, an olive burger (highly recommended), and club. Everyone enjoyed the fries, and twoyoungsters got strawberry shakes that were the bomb. We tried the pie- 5 layer chocolate (very rich) and a slice of apple. Theysell chocolates as well which looked delicious, but by the time we checked out we had all over eaten or they would have beenperfect for the road. Staff was very busy and short on the restaurant side. Super kind, helpful & friendly on the gift shopside. We visited March which is definitely an off season, but no less beautiful. Make this a stop, for sure check out the pie, much better than the one you wait in line for up the road a few miles by far. Read more
