This place is a true mountain town gem in terms location, scenery, accommodations, and staff! I?ve stayed in quite a few CO... mountain towns and this has been one of the most memorable. It?s in a small town of friendly folks with a homey log cabinaesthetic. Perfect. Read more

My wife and I were passing through the area, looking for something relatively reasonable within a few hours and stumbled up on... this location. The valley here is possibly one of the most beautiful valley's we have every hiked in. Access to three14er's. We were right around the corner from the SW trailhead to Mount Elbert. With the Aspens at the right time of the yearand the beautiful lakes, just perfect. We felt very fortunate to have found this place. The hotel has a lot of history. old wood floorboards that creak, and a small lobby with period furnishings. We didn't eat there, but the food smelleddelicious. We had a room with the bathroom down the hall, and that worked out great. The bathroom was stocked with everythingyou needed, the beds were comfortable. Wish we had stayed for two nights, as it would have given us more time to explore thelocal trails. you are steps away from the lakes, and there is a general store next door that has everything you'd need. I adore this place! Amazing place to grab a brunch on Sunday or a lunch any day! I have been back here a few times now with... different sets of friends. All my friends love it too! The decor is so cozy, unpretentious and takes you to a different time. One of my friend even went as far as calling it very ?Shire-ish?. It is a hidden gem in the Twin Lakes area. Also, the staff issweet and attentive. Don?t forget to grab those $2 chocolate chip cookies on your way out. Read more

EXCELLENT experience! Andy seems to be the main guy taking care of the Inn and its guests and he is very knowledgeable about... passionate about the history of the inn and the town. This was a great stay and I highly recommend as a great getaway, or ifyou?re looking for that ?Colorado mountain? experience. The Twin Lakes are surrounded by mountain and there?s a shop behind theinn that rents bikes and paddle boards. There?s even a massage therapist that works at the inn so you can get the whole retreatexperience in one place. Delicious food in their restaurant as well. Read more
