I love oysters but the first time I went got a dozen they were dry not good, oysters should be fresh and full of brine. Then I... went a second time month or so after for lunch, same thing dry and didn't even finish the dozen one of them I couldn't evenswallow. I've been here a few times and the drinks are always good. They go above and beyond to make their signature cocktails look... attractive, but they also are strong and taste delicious. However, the food is not the greatest, especially for the price. Ihave sent something back before and now when I go I usually skip the food. However, they have weeknight events which sound veryfun, and the staff is always great. Read more
Customer service was excellent! The clam chowder and poke bowl were good! The swordfish and halibut were decent.
Came on a Friday early evening (5 pm) and the place was pretty empty so no wait to be seated. FYI- it a pretty casual... atmosphere; like a casual bar ambiance. Had the following: - Fish Chowder 8/10 pretty good, highly recommend add Tabasco -Ginny Hendrix (Cocktail Drink) - 5/10 a strong drink but really lacking in flavor - 4 cheese Mac & cheese side - 7/10 StandardMac & cheese but if you like cheese pasta this is for you regardless - Neptune's Cobb Salad - 8/10 Generous size! Only downsidewas I was expecting lumps of crab not shredded so it was hard to fork with the lettuce. - Seared Scallops w/ sides -7/10 Presentation was fantastic for this item but the scallops were lacking in flavor. Would have liked to have had a moresubstantial sauce. Overall, the experience was pretty good, just had a few bumps... - came in with a party of 2 and were sat atan awkwardly placed table. We asked if we can move to the table next to us meant for 4 people but our waitress said it's onlyfor parties greater than 2... which I get but at the same time, there was no one else in the restaurant except for 1 othercouple on the other side of the room. Just seemed a bit off. - Service was very slow. We did have to wait for our waters to berefilled a few times. Again not a big deal but just a bit off putting considering how empty the place was. The Monday Oyster deal $1 Each, and you can bring your own wine. Great value there. Our food came out in waves rather than all... together which was mildly frustrating. I did have a couple dead pea crabs in my oysters. Some may take no issue with that. Ipersonally do not care for them, especially dead and raw. The seared ahi burger is pretty good. However they clearly rushed it.The ahi was not seared at all. I love raw tuna so I ate it and liked it. But, if your menu says seared, actually sear it. Thebathroom, the bathroom was disgusting. Overall I would give them another shot because the staff was friendly and there is goodvalue. But a repeat of the quality would turn me off permanently. Read more
