While expensive, this restaurant doesn't provide a particularly inspirational experience. There were some excellent tasting... dishes, including the duck, with just the right crunch. Some food was not up to the expense. The atmosphere and experience aswell as the decor were excellent. Overall, I would give it a 4.5 star rating if I could. But given the price. Was in the mood for duck and decided to come to Chang'an with my family. It was an amazing experience, from the food to the... service. Just all around amazing. The duck was probably my favorite out of everything. The cocktails were amazing as well whichI was told they recently started serving. I will definitely be coming back especially when for the drinks. Amazing food! Great service! Cannot wait to be able to try the duck, all of the other tables had it and the presentation was... spectacular. I started with the Hot and Sour Soup. It was nice and thick with a deep flavor. It has a little spice, but muchbetter than being too sweet. Definitely a must have as an appetizer. We moved on to the Jellyfish. I was not a fan of thecelery (though cut beautifully) it took away from the flavor. I wish they would just serve it plain as it has its own uniquetexture and light flavor. The Braised Abalone with Pork Belly is to die for. Such a great crunch from the Abalone, and flavorfrom the pork belly. Cooked to perfection and was sad when it was gone hehe. For dessert we had the I am Peach. As you cansee by our pictures, presentation is important. Amazing white chocolate shell that you crack open to enjoy fresh peach and somecream. Light, yet satisfies the sweet tooth. We also ordered the Peppercorn ice cream. The ice cream was rich and had greatflavor. I will caution, if you do not like pepper do not order. It has a great balance of sweet and peppery, but could bestrong to many. Overall great experience and food. I cannot wait to continue through the menu. We decided to go to this new restaurant called CHANG'AN TUSTIN, the first time step into the restaurant "wow" amazing interior... decor and many Chinese elements feel like you were inside a museum. We pre-ordered their flaming Roast duck and it was sotasty! Restaurant ask us to be on-time because their duck is cooked to profession and timing is very important they serve itright out the duck oven making the duck skin super crispy and duck meat so juicy. Their wrapping flour paper can see through andpaper thin everything was at its best. Many other dishes also comes with beautiful presentation and tasty. We really appreciateto have a tasty, beautiful and spacious place to have a wonderful dinner. We will come back again to try their other dishes nexttime! Read more
