This cute restaurant is located in old town tustin. We came here for our wedding anniversary dinner. It's highly recommended to... make a reservation using open table. They're packed during dinner time and we waited for 10 / 15 minutes to be seated. Weordered bunch of appetizers to share. Pork belly tacos: Comes on a corn tortilla with vinaigrette marinated pork belly. Thetaste is super crispy and flavorful. 5/5 Bone marrow grilled corn: Marvelous, charcoal grilled corn with the richest bonemarrow. The flavors work perfectly together. 5/5 Steam clams with herbal sauce: Comes with avocado and their homemade bread,omg, what unforgettable flavors. The bread tastes like life after you have been starving for weeks and that's your first bite.The clams have an earthy, muted taste that really works. 5/5 Duck confit tortas are tasty but duck is light flavored and alittle too salty. Still very good but compared to the other dishes something seemed lacking. 4/5 The beignet dessert waspretty disappointing, just tasted kind of bland and we ended up not finishing. The chocolate sauce was unremarkable. I will saythe caramel sauce is the best I have ever had. 2/5 I have never tried Yucatan cuisine before Chaak, they are definitely using alot of spices that I have never tried and can't name them either. The restaurant has such a good cultural vibes and great music. No matter how you are dressed, you will fit right in here. Tonight my friends got engaged at this restaurant and I can't say enough of the staff. From meeting with Alfredo the manager to... work out the details the night before, he was so accommodating with where to sit them to working with the staff to make sureeveryone was on board. Today when I was there to get Ready to take pictures and videos both Alfredo and the incredible serverAshton came outside to go over details. Very cute place, love the ambiance and the decor. The food was good, definitely interesting. The tiger prawns dish was very... tasty, the sauces and the rice were on point. Surprised there was only 3 shrimps though. The corn dish was good, but could’vebeen better. The bone marrow on it was so minimal that you barely got any roasted bone marrow flavor. The whole branzino dish,must order! It was so good, so flavorful, must have. I really liked their tortillas and the sauces add another flavor profile.Although, there should’ve been more of the sauces, wasn’t enough for the size of the dish. The fish was perfectly cooked,perfectly seasoned. And the best part - they de-bone the fish for you! Making it 100x more enjoyable. The dessert donuts were alittle lacking. Service wise, it was good, not great. Our server got sat too many tables at 1 time so his attention waseverywhere, even when we were ordering, hence why he forgot to put in our drink order. First time here and sat at the bar. Started with a Sour Orange Margarita and it was tasty, however it wasn't as sour as I... would've liked. Ordered the Coliflor and the honey aioli it came with balanced out the char of the cauliflower, the black sesameseeds also added good texture. Honestly loved the dish. I also had a whiskey sour and it was very well done, egg white andall. Also shout out to Patrick and Raul, they're amazing bartenders and service was impeccable. Read more

The first time I tried this place was for dinner and we did have a reservation but didn't wait for an inside table. The outside is still very cool but the vibe on the inside would be worth the extra wait. The service was great and never hadto wait long to place an order or to get our drinks. We ordered about 5 different items and a dessert and every single thingwas delicious. I would honestly recommend choosing something that you don't know what it is. Three of our dishes were itemsthat I didn't know what they were and I love them. Get out of your comfort zone pick a random dish, enjoy an old fashion andrelax. Cheers Read more
