Not too thrilled about the service, at all, but hell, she probably wouldn't care about the reviews on her lack of good service.... We stood in front of her and she asked us for our order, as we started telling her, she takes a phone call and we both look ateach other like WTH! She takes a call-in order right there in front of us.... if I wasn't so hungry we would've left! I don'tlive in Alabama, but I'm for sure going to dismiss this place as an option to visit again! I really enjoyed the salad and I got steak hibachi and it was good. My only thing is that the wait was a little long.

To management: Please make sure that you actually include the meat that is supposed to come with the sushi. I?ve overlooked it... several times now picking up orders on the fly but this isn?t acceptable. I am paying for sushi, not seaweed friedrice. Sincerely, Read more

I'm usually iffy about getting sushi where they offer hibachi. Sushi quality suffers from my experience. Not here. Great fresh... quality sushi. Presentation was good too. Ordered Hibachi Steak from Tokyo Express in Northport last night and from OEC Japanese tonight. The prices are basically the... same. Tokyo Express may cost a few cents more but is clearly more worth it as the quality of the food and the taste is much moresuperior. Tokyo Express comes with a variety of green vegetables whereas OEC basically just comes with a bunch of carrots. Eventhe sauce from Tokyo Express tastes much better in comparison. OEC comes with a salad and Tokyo Express comes with a soup. Read more

I love this restaurant! Favorite place to get to go food from in all of Tuscaloosa. It is slow though. And they always say 20... minutes. If it 1 hour "20 minutes" if it is 20 minutes (happened once) "20 minutes". That being said I have never had a badexperience. Sometimes the sushi that comes with cream cheese has too much, that is about the only thing you can say bad aboutthe food. The Yummy Roll, and Spicy Crawford roll are my favorites. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because I have spenthours of my life waiting on food in this place because they don't come up with realistic times. Read more

Wasn't great. The sushi was dry and lacked flavor. I think the YUM YUM sauce was ketchup and mustard mixed together. It looked... way better than it tasted. Teraki was too sweet. The rice and chicken was meh. Read more
