It was a bit pricey so I was skeptical to try here at first, but it is DEFINITELY worth the price. Clear soup to me is usually... just a belly-filling waste, but here it has a place in the dinner service because it is PACKED with flavor. I had the Teriyakichicken bento and my husband got the Teriyaki chicken hibachi plate. Both were amazing. Dumplings are super flavorful and juicy.Sushi combo was delicious and refreshing. All around we enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service here. I do hope in the futurethat they add chicken/pork katsu to the menu. I think that's the ONLY benefit of dining with Kobe instead of here, but I feellike Hokkaido would do a better job if implemented. This is my favorite Japanese spot in town! Read more
We ate here on Saturday for lunch and did not have to wait very long to be seated. Service was good. The person who took our... orders also refilled drinks while the chef prepared the meal at the hibachi grill. She was very prompt and kept us topped offthroughout the meal. The food was good although the rice could have used more flavor. Ordered the filet and it was outstanding.The chef cooked it exactly how we wanted, and it was very tender. Absolutely phenomenal. Chuck's enjoys the reputation as #1... not our experience. You are receiving chef-inspired rolls in an... awesome setting at Hokkaido. We LOVED our experience here! Chuck's is good, fresh food- but the portions are small. And there's"hype" and a wait- scoot over to 15th street and get your munch on!! Read more
Loved the environment given by the cooks, and it was an amazing experience for my first time. Well portioned for the price. The... drum was a shocking experience as well (I wasn't expecting it, but the second time was great). Would definitely come back. I dosay that the closing hours aren't updated online. Read more
