i?ve been coming to cravings for years at this point. and it?s really sad to say, but ever since the ownership changed a while... back, the quality of just about everything has gone downhill. this goes for the quality of the food, the quality of theiroperations and supply chain, and the quality of their staff. i came in today and they were out of just about everything, thedude taking my order straight up ignored me at the counter for like 5 mins even though I was the only person in there. then slidmy food at me across the table without saying a word. then my sandwich was mid at best. i miss the old cravings so much :( Read more
First time here the lady cooking the food touched her pants and hair easily 10 times while making food? didn?t change her gloves... or wash her hands. 4 sandwiches that I purchased and will be throwing out. Clearly need a class on basic kitchen cleanliness. Read more
Simple menu but great bagel options for breakfast! Comfortable environment in historic downtown Tuscaloosa
Definitely worth going to if you want a good breakfast that will be ready fast.
It really pains me to write this review, because I've been a loyal customer for some time now and the experience for the most... part has been fantastic... until today (4/20/22). I stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich before going to class. The ladyprepping my sandwich was toasting my bagel, but while that was toasting she took the proteins (eggs, cheese, sausage) and placedthe overflowing spatula ON A SHELF ABOVE THE OVENs. There was nothing protecting the food from the shelf either. She loaded theproteins onto the spatula and placed it on a more than likely very dirty shelf right in front of me. And of course, she isserving two people in front of me who order a bagel sandwich like I did, but she puts their proteins on a paper plate. This iscompletely unsanitary and I'm pretty sure is a direct violation of certain health codes. Unfortunately because of this I nolonger feel comfortable eating at this establishment and will be taking my business elsewhere unless changes are made. Alsoapologies for my finger being in front of the camera, I had a very small window to take a picture for evidence. One word. WOW! I read about the lobster roll and it was delicious. I couldn't believe the gigantic chunks of REAL lobster I had... to take a picture. The lobster mac and cheese was very flavorful with big lobster chunks in it (just look at the picture below).You have wonderful, friendly folks, great atmosphere plus very fast service and you got yourself a must go to place to eat. I went to cravings for the first time today to try it with my boyfriend. Right as we walked in, we weren?t greeted and a male... worker at the register just stared at us like we were intruding. We weren?t sure if we ordered first or just sat down because wehad never been there, as i mentioned, and the male worker didn?t even seem like he wanted to speak to us. It took a whole otherworker to even tell us what to do. Though at that point, we were beyond frustrated that we couldn?t even have the bare minimumof customer service and did not want to spend our money there.
