Reviews for Asuka Buffet in Tuscaloosa, AL
The food was not up to temperature. Seafood such as calamari was rubbery, shrimp was mushy sushi was dry fried rice was so dry... grains were like it wasn?t cooked. Crab legs had grayish discoloration around clusters. Waiter took back everything we had intable with a couple bites of it eaten. Told him was old food on buffet and not up to temp. Was given a bill of over $50afterwards said tell up front they didn?t believe me. Told lady at front she said look it has steam. I told her it didn?t beforewe complained and food was still old. So she discounted to lunch price and mad is pay full price for wife?s salad and my drink. Read more
I'm actually here now. And my favorite thing to get here is the fried calamari. And all the seafood in general. But this is... definitely a good place to eat, if you're in the mood for chinese food. Read more
Wonderful place to get yourself good meal in proportion that satisfies you. I will visit more times!
This is a good place to dine in. The location is on point. You can eat whatever you want to eat with your family or friends. You... are charged together. It's a buffet service; eat as much as you want and eat whatever you want but don't waste the food. Youserve yourself. I think the only thing they bring for you is the drink whether it is water or lemonade. There are so manyfruits you can try to eat too. There are varieties. Just do justice to serving yourself. Used to be okay but now is absolutely disgusting. Felt like there was no air conditioning and fans were just blowing hot air... around and it was so humid that the floors were wet and we were sliding. They had cardboard laying all over the floor. The foodwas extremely dry and tasteless. The bar was hot but the food was cold. Total price of 4 was $64 and we each only ate one plateof food. Definitely not going back. Read more
Food is awfully presented; less variety compared to other Asian buffet?.more importantly, the owner tried to save utility bill... by turning the AC so high and feeling so warm inside the restaurant. You can tell certain food is stale like sushi, squid andfish whereas other food is so salty =( This is the lowest quality of Asian buffet I ever tried. Read more
Just bad....Was so hot inside, the AC is either broken or turned off. It was 87 degrees outside and actually cooler than... inside of restaurant. Service was non existent. There were 6 people total in the dining room we were in, yet the servernever came by to check on us or offer any drink refills. Two women hung around the front desk, but were obviously tooimportant to be bothered with customers, Socialized with each other and played with their phones, It is ironic that thisplace is in the old Cheddars building, because it looks like they are headed for the same demise. This was quite possibly the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The website boasts 300+ items on a buffet...nope not even... close. At any rate, everything my husband and I got was overcooked. I even got their rendition of Mongolian bbq...where you makethe dish and they cook it for you. Well, I made my plate, I was to ring a bell, take one number, put it on my plate and take theother to my table, I had to go back up and get it when it didn't arrive at my table. It was drowning in sauce that wasincredibly spicy, way too spicy to enjoy. The only thing I liked was the Crab Rangoon. Steer clear of this place. $15.99 perperson for a truly miserable meal.
