We had a party of four and they sat us right away in the half full restaurant. We waited patiently as other tables were seated... and served coffee and drinks before any waitress acknowledged us. After 20 minutes we got the attention of the waitress andasked for coffee and she said she'll be right with us. The three tables that came in after us were now getting their food andwe were still without anything. After foolishly wasting 40 minutes sitting there without any service we left and went toMcDonalds. These people clearly do not know how to run a business let alone a restaurant. Zero stars. Driving through and looking for a good breakfast place. I suggested McDonalds but my wife and I would rather spend our money at... a local small business. Drove past the Lumberjack Inn in Tupper Lake. Looked hopping and it had good food reviews. The placewas about 2/3 full with a large party of 10 seated and placing order. Alex, our waitress, said they were pretty busy and itmight take a little longer to get our breakfast. Right after we came in the place filled to capacity - which was not a wholelot. Alex promptly took our order and kept our coffee mugs full. After about 30 minutes we asked how much longer? Alex saidshe would check - and then filled our coffee. The kitchen was incredibly slow and Alex said that there was only one cook (atthe 45 minute mark) - and then filled our coffee. We started to see order moving out now but noticed people that had gottenthere after us were being served. We were at the 1HR mark and Alex came over to deliver our check only to find that we nevereven had gotten our food. She said that our order should be up soon, and filled our coffee. At the 1Hr and 20 Min mark wegave up as we saw four other groups that arrived after us get served. Another person came over and apologized and said that ourorder was just now being started (obviously they lost it). She asked if we could wait and then offered to comp our coffee. Wetold them to just keep it and paid for the pot of coffee they served us. It's too bad because the food looked really good andwe had high expectations. Next time if they would have been a little more up front about the wait then we would have gone downthe road and I would not have had to write this about a small, locally owned business. Read more

Great place to go. Solid recommendation from our hotel. I am on a special diet and our waitress Alex was totally accommodating.... My wife had a basic breakfast that was delicious and plentiful. Prices were good. If your hungry get over there before 2pm Read more

Good breakfast, friendly and personable hostess, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices, historical decor, convenient location... and hours. Right next to the hardware store! What more can you ask for? Lol Seriously though, I'll be back. Oh, the priceslisted when i Googled the menu were not correct. That's not their doing. Prices were lower. Under new management possibly. The absolute worst service I?ve ever experienced. The dining area was not even full, took 35 minutes to put an order in. No... offer of coffee or water. Another 10 minutes and no coffee. The server was smirking through her story of how they have been openfor only a week. We left. Very disrespectful. We got better service from McDonalds down the street. Read more

Long wait times so don't come if you're in a rush, but in my opinion it was well worth the wait. Delicious food and large... portions. A little chilly so consider bringing a sweater. Read more

The lumberjack inn was a great place to stop for lunch. They have a traditional diner style menu with breakfast and lunch... classics. Service was good and prices are reasonable. If you are in the area and would like a quick diner style meal they arethe place to go. Read more

Swung in the here on our way through Tupper Lake. We were seated immediately and our server was a young girl who did a really... great job. Typical diner fare, and prices were completely reasonable. I got a bacon cheeseburger which was cooked really wellfries were also good. The rest of the party got some popcorn chicken and some of the homemade cream of broccoli soup which waspretty decent. If we need to stop by for some food we would definitely swing into the lumberjack again. Read more
