employee walks to the back with hand inside his pants, wow disgusting 2022 awhile back, visited captain D near Barnes crossing... in tupelo, ms, the young african American lady at the drive through was frustrated, rude, rushy & hateful. She was rude to hercoworkers as well. After seeing an employee walk to the back with his cell phone in one hand & his other hand inside his pants,I immediately requested a refund. Spoke with a manager who seemed to be intimidated by her employees so I wrote captain d's &never received a response. It has been over several months . **UPDATE** So I went back. It's been about a week since my last visit amd tonight it was very good! The service was spot on.... There was an extremely nice lady working the front and she was taking orders left and right dine in AND drive thru! She alwayshad a smile on her face and made sure everyone had everything they needed. Was happy to get you a refill or anything else youneeded. The food was hot and delicious!! So I'm changing my rating from 3 stars to 5 based off of tonights visit!! The ladyworking the front needs a raise!! We were there 2/23/22 at about 8 p.m. It was clean. The food was tasty. The workers were verynice. There was a bit of a wait but it was lunch so i get that. Read more
Only 4 employees in the whole restaurant. The line in the drive through was long and the dining room was pretty packed. The... employees were working as hard and as quickly as they could, but they were getting a good bit of abuse from customers. We werein the lobby and could even hear people in the drive through yelling and getting rude. These employees remained calm and politethrough the whole thing. They should be commended. Confession...I have never eaten at Cap'n D's before today. And now I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner! I got the 2... piece and 6 shrimp plate w/ a loaded baked potato & green beans. My friend got the 3 piece, and my kiddo got a kid's 1 piece,both w/ mac & chz and fries. Total of the bill was 26.58. We all loved everything on our plates with the exception of the greenbeans. I'll skip those next time.The shrimp was delicious! We soaked our fish in malt vinegar and dipped it in the Cap'n D'ssauce...yum! High fives and gold stars to the staff. As I was ordering, I mentioned that it was my first time eating there, soas we were walking out, even though she had a lobby full, the sweet lady behind the counter stopped what she was doing to ask mehow I liked it. It was so genuine and it made my day. I told her...I LOVED it! Would have gone back just for the service even ifI hadn't liked the food. Give that gal a raise! Read more
Great friendly service and food was well over what I could eat. Tasted great and fresh.
Great dine in service. The spicy fish was not good. But the gumbo and everything else was excellent.
