We come to Denny?s because of Shawna and the great food. Our first day in town we were lucky enough to sit in Shawna?s section... and have been coming back ever since! There are vast numbers of Denny's restaurants around the Puget Sound area. What happens at one is not indicative of all. I was... very disappointed with this one in Tumwater, Washington. The service was excellent although it was not very busy for 9:30 on aSunday morning. We ordered biscuits and gravy. The food came lukewarm and was not very tasteful. The biscuits were not toastedor even hot. I couldn't be sure that it was even the same gravy as before. The food was barely warm when served. By the time wefinished it was cold. Stopped for dinner sometime around 9PM a few nights ago and went inside. It looked like a nice clean restaurant. Waitress said... they were no longer seating because they decided to close early. (online it says closes at 10PM) Nothing was posted about thison the doors. If it was posted I would not have gone inside. Denny's is a chain that is known for being open at night and somefranchises simply don't get this. Read more
The ONLY reason for this number of stars is that the other 2 waitresses were the worst I've seen in years. Young waitress cut... myself and another gentleman off instead of waiting for us to clear out. My waitress is Shawna Q. Haven't had better experiencein years and the food was PERFECT. I don?t leave many reviews. However, I swear this morning was maybe the best breakfast I have ever had at a Denny?s. Everything... was on point. The service was great! The fruit was fresh. What a terrible experience. My SO had the pot roast and it was dry. It was not a dinner! It was about 1/4 cup of potatoes and a... 1/2 cup of bits of dry pot roast a carrot and a piece of garlic toast. The plate they served it on was dirty and it all fit on asalad plate(he ask for one to get it off the dirty plate. I had Bacon avocado burger and onion rings(5 very small ones.). Theburger was ok. What a disappointment. We will not return and it was a complete waste of $40. Read more
