Me and my husband bought 2meals. His smothered chicken, okra and tomatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy. I had chicken wings, Mac... and cheese, sweet potatoes. First the chicken my husband had was sitting in the warmer too long. It tasted burnt. The tomatoesand okra had more than enough onions!!!! My chicken had no taste to it!!! My Mac and cheese was dry!!!! Never again!!!! Need togo to Kansas City and take lessons from PeachTree Buffet or Kings Table!!!! Better yet Moma E's in OKC!! It was 30 dollarswasted. Amazing service and food. My grandmother always raves over "Sunday Dinner by Janet". I took my grandmother for a late lunch... today and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. I was so excited that I ordered each side, a few selection of meats, and eachdessert to go. I could not wait to get home and try my smorgasbord. I cannot lie, everything was great. I could not find asingle issue with anything. Everything is well seasoned and so enjoyable. If you are looking for a great soul food experience,look no further. You will not be disappointed!!! I'm a foodie, I do reviews when I see it's needed, my experience at your restaurant was very unprofessional, I was looking... forward to eating at a Black owned business, the trip I took with a church bus full of elderly woman, your restaurant had themstand for hours in a hot restaurant only to be served poor quality food. That indeed was unprofessional and you made a lot ofmoney off this group. I think you should have had cool air and waitresses to accommodate these people who brought you a finiacalblessing. Read more
Every time I have visited the food is great. The service is so friendly and they make your plate just as you ask. Ms. Janet... definitely knows her way in the kitchen. As long as she's in business she got a customer for life. She has also catered to myfamily during the passing of a relative. She is a true sweetheart. My elderly mother loves it too and makes me get her a dinnerat least 2 or 3 times a month. ???? Read more
The first time I visited it was unorganized, but the food was great. It was worth the wait. This Sunday it was organized and the... meal was fair to partly cloudy. The baked chicken dark was dry like it had either been sitting for a long time or reheated. Thedressing was blah with watery gravy. The Mac and Cheese tasted like a box recipe. I don't like restaurants whose food qualitygoes up and down. I can wait long periods as long as I know the product will be worth it. It will be awhile before I go back ifever. Read more
An amazing place. Me and a friend went tonight (no thanksgiving plans). We called ahead and she answered so welcoming, she... wasn?t technically open but told me to come get some plates. When we got there she wouldn?t let us pay saying it was on thehouse. She had so much choices and it was all so good!
