Reviews for Lone Wolf Banh Mi in Tulsa, OK
For an Asian fusion restaurant, it was ok. Definitely don?t go here if you?re looking for authentic bánh mì. I got a fried... chicken sandwich and all I could really taste was the fried chicken. Reminded me of fast food fried chicken sandwiches. Not muchother flavors, couldn?t really taste the aioli in the sandwich. (Maybe the fried chicken overpowered everything else?) It wasserved with wonton chips seasoned with sugar and cinnamon, which reminded me of churros. Read more
I really like Lone Wolf. The kimchi fries are amazingly tasteful. Some of the flavor combinations seem unusual, but trust that... they know how to fuse the flavors. They do. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Read more
Probably the best Bahn Mi I've had in Tulsa. Not to mention they offer delicious cinnamon-dusted wonton chips. The herbs were... aromatic and tasted fresh, the veg was great, both the grilled pork and fried chicken were very flavorful, all around a greatbite for lunch (and dinner for the second one.) I'll be back, even if only for more of the chips! Read more
This place has been on my list for awhile now and we were able to make the 2 hour drive this past weekend. The banh mi was kind... of bland, a little over done and the pickled veggies were not even pickled. It was just chopped up carrots and daikon and it wassuper upsetting. The fried rice bowl looked bomb but was also flavorless. The meatballs were pretty good and the fries were goodtoo. The sauces weren?t bad but they helped us get our food down. Nothing to come back for and definitely not worth a 2 hourdrive. Kind of expensive for a banh mi too. $10-12 for a banh mi and didn?t come with a side. It does have some complimentarycinnamon chips though. I really should give a two star though because the kitchen is open. You can see in where they prep yourfood and place it at the window. The two chefs were hollering about how ?messed? up they got during the weekend. Out loud andclear. Which is so inappropriate. It?s a clean and family oriented place, so I didn?t appreciate hearing all that while weate. I would?ve complained, in person, if I had my son with me. Read more
Lone Wolf was good overall, but the food did not live up to the hype for me. Positive points: The place is clean and... comfortable, the staff is friendly, the Stubborn Soda is delicious and you get your food very quickly. On the downside, I foundthat food very bland. The top layer was overstuffed with so much shredded veggies I could hardly get my mouth around it andunder that my eyes said there was chicken but my tongue said there was nothing. Maybe it was just that particular banh mi;avoid the Lemongrass Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Read more
My daughter and I really loved the place! We pass the location often on our walks downtown and she suggested we go there. The... food was good, ambiance was nice. The food was flavorful and delicious. I definitely added soy and Sriracha to my rice but itwas delightful either way. I loved the fresh veggies. Also the fries were fried just right, no bad oil or old cold or flimsyfries. I suggest and will highly likely return. If you like ginger, the ginger fritters were good. They have vegan/vegetarianoptions here. Read more
One of very few places that was open during Labor Day but Jackpot! Everything was fresh and made to order. We definitely ordered... too much food. We both ordered fried rice bowls and kimchi Fries as a side. Even the small order of fries could have been ameal. Get ready for a flavor explosion. You will not be disappointed. Read more
I was very pleased with my meal. I had the Shrimp Banh Mi. It was yummy and I was pleasantly happy with the way my belly felt... during and after the eating process ???? will definitely be returning to try some of the other amazing options they have listed. The atmosphere of the restaurant upon my pickup was also neat. I liked the decor of the place and there seemed to be plenty ofseating and space. Will be telling friends and family to try this place out. Read more
