Reviews for FarmBar in Tulsa, OK
Part II (Part I is under Vincenzo) I explained gently that I was sorry to tell her, and mentioned the highlights to soften the... blow, but there's no easy way to explain and I just stopped, it was heart breaking. With tip (only ordering 2 cocktails and asoft drink, with tip it was $500...even though my daughter's meal consisted of less than $5 worth of ingredients. THEY CHARGEDexactly the same for the vegetarian tasting menu that consisted of nothing upon nothing. This is in a city, where gas is under$3/gallon and everyday food is a fraction of the cost in San Francisco. This was one of our all time worst meals ever. Beforeyou can offer a tasting menu, you have to get the easy things right...totally perfect. If the chef had tasted all those thingsshe sent out that night, she would have NEVER sent them out. I was so disappointed that we spent that much money on a horriblemeal and wasted that whole evening. We cooked at home for the rest of our trip. We couldn't imagine a lower bar. Read more
Part I If this were a food review, the title would be You Must Learn to Walk Before you Run a Marathon It completely breaks my... heart to write this review. I had read all about the chef and her work and her farm before coming, we were so excited to eat atFarmBar when visiting Tulsa. To begin with it's a very hip, beautiful vibe when you walk in...with an open kitchen. However, the giveaway might have been that there were a lot of empty tables, and only two staff running the kitchen, one of whom was thechef. They told us the tasting menu was available even though our reservation said it wasn't. We're super foodies/cooks fromSF, so very happy to let the chef cook for us. We also asked about our daughter who is vegetarian and they reassured us thatthey offer a tasting menu for vegetarians too. The two lovely parts of the ENTIRE meal were the amuse bouche (fantastic) and aspinach and potato soup (excellent). Also, one dessert was a good effort with a pavlova over a creme pat... but literallyeverything else they served I would be ashamed to have served to friends at a casual weeknight dinner at my house. And thevegetarian dishes were simply ridiculous...none of them were thought out and there was no protein outside of three or four verytiny, dry, granular beans served in a "hash" (which we were also served in our menu). It was completely an afterthought. Mydaughter commented that what should have been a marinara sauce tasted like tomatoes from a can... I didn't believe her buttasted them and was so sad for the chef. Our first course was a line of three separate bites. First, the pieces made no sensetogether...meaning it wasn't a plate, it was disparate pieces. Each piece was awful. One piece was entirely cold, one waslukewarm and one had been recently warmed...nothing had been just cooked. And all of them were tasteless. Early in the meal Iasked for some kosher salt because nothing was seasoned properly. They brought out a course kosher salt...af Read more
FarmBar is a gem that you cannot miss out on. The food is superb, the customer service is top notch and our server Linda was... amazing! The standouts were the sweet potato, the soup, the fettuccine, the lasagna, and dessert. Highly recommend! Read more

The Farm Bar surpassed all my expectations for a wonderful evening. I haven?t encountered such hospitality since the before... times! From the beginning, Linda was incredibly kind and helped us expand our reservation for 2 to 4 at the chef?s counter overthe phone, and once we were at the restaurant, we were invited to use an empty table once it freed up to be more comfortable. Our server was so professional and knowledgeable about all of our wine pairings and menu items, and enriched our experience byletting us know what to taste for. On top of that, we never felt rushed like some tasting menu restaurants make you feel, thoughat an 8pm reservation, we were the last diners left in the restaurant at closing. My partner needed a gluten-free, egg-free,and light on peppers menu and The Farm Bar was so lovely about accommodating his dietary restrictions with adequatesubstitutions instead of leaving entire components or dishes out. He got a gluten free teff/oatmeal bread, butternut squashnoodles in place of pasta, and a twice baked radish in place of the egg among other things. The pastry team was even considerateenough to send us home with scones and a gluten-free scone just for him! Everything on the menu was executed well, and withgenerous amounts for a tasting menu as well at an amazing value at only $90/person, and an incredible wine pairing at only$50/person. My favorites were the snacks in the beginning, especially the savory custard, duck pate, and the apple galettedessert and the cantaloupe shrub drink. Additionally, we felt so much safer dining at The Farm Bar with their staff masked andvaccinated - huge shoutout for helping all of us stay healthy! Please visit the The Farm Bar and know you?ll be so well takencare of. If I?m ever back in Tulsa, I will be back for sure. Read more
The most incredible experience I?ve ever had! Even my picky husband liked every dish! So many flavors, each dish extremely... unique. We sat on the patio tonight and even though it was low 50s and extremely windy, we were totally comfortable in sweaterswith the space heaters. It truly is an experience. Plan to savor your food and the flavors slowly over two hours. I will be backhere on my next special occasion- well worth it if you ask me! Read more
