We got a veggie sampler, one of the dishes they gave us had meat in it. My wife who is a vegetarian ate a bunch of it and has... been throwing up since the afternoon. I have been a regular customer for the past 2 years and this was the first time assumingtheir vegan friendliness I took someone who was vegetarian to the restaurant. I was wrong. This is my new favorite restaurant in Tucson. It was so delicious. We tried 12 different menus items. All the veggie options and... two of the meat dishes. They can accommodate dairy free and gluten free. The staff was kind and the environment was comfortableand clean. Read more

Excellent !!! We have never had Ethiopian food and I loved the whole experience. We ordered a sampler and a meat dish. I can't... remember the numbers, but my favorites were the spicy red lentil and the spicy tilapia. The brown lentils and yellow peas weregreat too. First time having Ethiopian food, and it was great! Strong flavors and everything was cooked well. We got the shiro, yedoro... alica, and foussuila. The shiro was a little spicy but had good flavor. The chicken was also great, juicy and flavorful! Eachdish comes with injera and you eat with your fingers ???? I love Ethiopian food after a friend raised in Ethiopia took me to a restaurant about 20 years ago. I discovered Zemam's while... in Tucson about 8 or 10 years ago and always try to stop for a meal when in town. Excellent food. I prefer spicy but for thosewho don't they have choices that aren't at all spicy. It's authentic and yummy. Read more
