I've been wanting to come check this place out. I'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza but I have to say this was fantastic! At... first I thought the prices were a bit high but if you just go for the pizza and a beer and plan to stay to then this is a greatplace to spend an afternoon and enjoy your lunch. The outside was great as well as the inside. The Tap room next door with theNES games is a great idea. The restaurant is a great idea and Ill be back again but I hope the location will work for them. We had the parmesan fries, and they were excellent! The pesto ranch and the ranch dressings were delicious. We had the pesto... bacon chicken pizza. Also excellent! The gluten free pizza crust makes my heart so happy! It tastes like real pizza I used to enjoy before I became gluten... intolerant. The team has been perfecting the crust since they opened, and I absolutely love that they didn't just stop at havinga gluten free option, but made sure to offer an amazingly delicious gluten free option! No idea why this is rated so low. Transplant serves excellent pizza at reasonable prices. The menu is simple while the flavor is... complex. Seriously, they share a building with a tap house and you didn't have a 4+ star experience?! I'd happily return,because they were the best pizza I ate in Tucson. We liked the food, but there were a few drawbacks... The biggest was the portion size on the salad, we ordered a full salad and... it was easily the smallest salad I've ever seen advertised for that size and price. It was really fantastic, but not a shareableportion size. This is the most glaring flaw to the experience. The pizza was really great, no complaints there. The fries werenot that good. They are not crispy and not too flavorful but the ranch was good. It's not something I'd order again unlessthey're seriously overhauled. All in all, I definitely understand the complaints about the price, it is a little pricey.However, I think the pizza is good enough to warrant a return. It's worth your time if you're willing to give it a try, but doexpect to have to spend more than usual. Read more

Excellent! I was so excited for Transplant to open as a fan of Detroit Style Pizza. Started with the Italian Chopped Salad which... was delicious! Then ordered the Double Pepperoni pizza. Cooked perfectly, lots of pepperoni and just really, really good.Friendly staff and prompt service. One pizza is perfect for two. Highly recommended a visit-you won't be disappointed! Read more
