We were running some errands on the east side and felt like a late dinner. We Googled steak houses on east side. We were way... east, Rita east. We figured there would be some out that way, but The Horseshoe Grill came up. We saw great reviews, so wedecided to check it out. Boy are we happy we did. We were seated promptly. The staff is friendly, quick and checked in often.Isaac was our server and he was great. He had recommendations and smiled and joked often. If I could give this place a 10, Iwould. The restaurant has great ambience and has a great country western feel. My girlfriend wanted their Playlist. I had thePorterhouse, and the she had the T-Bone. We went here for lunch this past weekend on our way to the Home Depot right behind it. The food was great and the service... exccellent with the exception of one item. We had the Arizona and Blue Cheese Bacon burgers and they were awesome. The frieswere pretty good and plentiful. Even the Macs and Cheese was good. This place is great! Had dinner on Friday night about 5PM and place wasn't crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful with the... menu. We had the Sampler platter for starters and holy cow this place fills you up and doesn't short change you! We orderedsodas, a beer, and each had an entree. Did I mention they give you plenty of food? We had to take a bunch of it home and hadlunch again the next day. Everything tasted fine and was cooked properly. Our server was Jaycie and she was fabulous. All in allit was a little pricey but the experience and amount of food made it worth it. We will return once we can figure out how to eatthat much food. Read more
Tonight was the first time our family has dined here, and we are all super impressed! The atmosphere was great, it wasn't too... busy, played great music. They were able to seat our family of 8 promptly, and with ease. It was neat to see the kitchen in themiddle of the restaurant too. The waiter was quick to take our order, and make sure everything was correct. He was verycourteous and polite! The cooks did a fabulous job as well! Service was great, think I'll get a steak next time. Brisket was good, just a bit too much fat on it.
I went online and made a reservation, even though I don't think it's necessary? Our server Sam was great, very informative and... helpful. If she didn't know she would ask the cooks. I had the brisket with the macaroni cheese and apple coleslaw and it wasyummy!! I absolutely love both their sauces. One was sweet and the other one was hot and spicy! For my birthday dessert I had achocolate and caramel sundae! It was four scoops of ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and a candle on top!! Itwas scrumptious! Today, Tue Jan 4, is a special day & the wife was craving steak. This will be our second visit. Wife ordered the 26 oz T-Bone... steak. For me, the Mushroom Swiss Burger w/ onion rings. I have to say THG has the best tasting T-bone steak and burger thatwe've ever tasted. The T-bone steak was tender & juicy. Wife told me this was the most tender T-Bone she ever eaten. My MushroomSwiss Burger was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I highly recommend this place to friends & family. If you order theT-Bone be very hungry, its big, 26 oz. Read more
