So I should give zero stars if that was an option. I ordered Tandoori Chicken recently. Tandoori means grilled in a clay oven or... an electric oven. I was handed over this deep fried chicken. Tandoori is never fried. This was too deep fried that the chickenmeat was like super chewy just as a brick. Plus the chicken tasted stale (101% confidence as I had worked in restaurantsbefore). I called the restaurant four times the same day i ordered it but there was no response. The WORST : LOOK AT THECHICKEN NECK SERVED IN THE ORDER! No body ever feeds chicken necks in tandoori chicken. I have never seen a chicken neck ever onany dinner cuisine whether its Indian, American, Italian, Middle eastern, Greek etc. You can see the photos attached here. Stopped at this restaurant on our way to Puerto Pensaco. This restaurant does justice to its name : Tamarind and Tangy .. but... not little Tangy. 2nd worst Indian restaurant my wife and me had in the US after El Paso Texas . Everything tastes so sour/tangy coz of lot of tamarind. Ordered Gobi Manchurian. Little pieces of Gobi with lot of tamarind. I can make sambar with thetamarind they added to sauté the manchurian Samosas - only 2 given and one was dipped in oil. Chutneys given are solemony Butter chicken - gravy tasted like tomato purée Kashmiri Malai kofta, gravy not so great and kofta balls so oily on theinside, looks like they fried the left over kofta from other day Garlic naan - so tiny for the price And now the amazing dish -egg biryani ???? . The Lamb masala has too much ginger put into it. Also ordered tandoori naan but came as chapati. It was not well cooked. Very... hard and blackened as showed in the picture below. We paid $27.00 for this dish. It’s not worth the money paid. I rather goelse next time when I am ordering out. Total disappointment. To be frank, It’s sub standard. Read more

The service is good. The food is great. I can say that this place is an addition to my favourite restaurant. The only thing I... feel bad about is that, when we came for dinner, it was literally just us in the dining area. I wish more people try tamarind sothey can stay in the business. With the COVID situation, I am sure a lot of restaurants are suffering. Let's support them bypatronizing their restaurant. And to those who wouldn't try Indian food(I know of many who wouldn't) gosh! First time here and was pleasantly surprised by the tasty entrees and friendly service. The vegan eggplant dish was absolutely... delicious! Both the garlic and the plain naan were hot and sufficiently crispy. Great for dipping in the yummy sauce. My partnermentioned that her butter chicken dish could have had a bit more chicken to complement the delicious sauce. Definitely givethis restaurant a try. It's worth it. Read more

This is a very large, clean restaurant. My wife and I love the soft lighting, and The sweet smiles from all the staff. Most... people don't know their food is nothing more than pure pleasure; my pallet Is never sad when I visit this place. Take yourwhole family they will fit right in.
