Reviews for Spice Box in Tucson, AZ
It was okay. The flavor was decent, but it's not like the Indian food I'm used to. I thought perhaps they are either from a... state that I haven't explored yet or they adjusted the flavors for the western palate. Tikka masala was a bit too sweet and notearthy like I'm used to. I asked for medium spice but didn't get any spice. The garlic naan is very light on the garlic and verythick and soft. Priced a little high for what you get. Since it's not somewhere I'd recommend or go out of my way for, I gave itthree stars. I'd go again if it was convenient and another option wasn't available. Read more
Absolutely wonderful! My favorite Indian food and they are soooo sweet as humans!! They are totally willing to change stuff... around for vegetarians, which is so rare around here. Thank you!!! Read more

So yummy! A different take on chicken tikka masala?it?s sweet with warm cinnamon notes like a holiday hug. Mango lassi is light... and refreshing. The owner is super sweet too. We?ll be back often. Read more
The food is delicious, will definitely come back. The only reason I took away a star is because the rice is not the traditional... basmati rice that you would get in an Indian restaurant, and also because the samosas came with a sweet/spicy sauce instead ofthe authentic mint or tamarind chutneys. Absolutely love Spice Box and the atmosphere at Boxyard is incredible. I highly recommend trying the Mango Chicken which isn?t... too sweet and is pretty unique to this restaurant but we haven?t had a bad curry there. Everything is absolutely delicious, isalways made fresh (be warned- this is not fast food and it takes a bit to come out but it is absolutely worth it) so eitherorder in advance or be ready to sit and enjoy a drink while your food is made from scratch. We come here at least once everytwo or three weeks and I don?t see that changing. 5 stars!! Read more
We wish we'd had an opportunity to have lunch/dinner from this place pre-Covid. The whole setup for the restaurants here are... just beautiful! We were half expecting all restaurants to be closed on Christmas day, so to find one fully operational was quitea relief. The food from Spice Box was quite good. While the paneer masala, and chilli paneer were delicious, the breads (naans, and rotis) weren't exactly the best. However, the quantity, and quality of rice made up for that. One little pet peeve of minewas that the rice/gravies were placed in the same container, causing them to get mixed up. However, that doesn't take anythingaway from the good food on offer. Overall, this is one place I'd certainly revisit when visiting the area! Read more
Complete rip-off. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. They delivered about 1.5 cups of sauce with a few little cubes of chicken --... nothing like what's pictured. $15! This is a bait and switch. Sauce is good but dishonesty in advertising. Read more
