I got the corn bowl with chicken which interestingly contained little corn. What it did have a lot of was black beans, like a... third of it was black beans, which felt like filling the bowl with the cheapest ingredient. That wouldn?t bother me if it wascheap, but for $12 it did. Also some of the pieces of rice were hard and I had to spit them out. The unexpected star of thedish, black beans, were slimy. I liked the flavor of the chicken but didn?t get much of it. My take is overpriced for thequality of food and poor preparation. The counter service is nice, but they are not carful of the orders in the kitchen. Ordered a salad and a steak burrito and they... got me a bowl and a shrimp burrito. Just the lack of attention gets the customers a bad experience. Check everything beforeleaving when ordering here or you'll have to drive back. Read more
Got the Shrimp Taco Trio and Loaded Nachos. Was alright but the location on Broadway and Alvernon is better.
The person at the register welcomed us as we walked in. There was no line and we were able to order and receive our food in less... than 15 minutes. The salsa bar was stocked and clean. We will be coming back here as the food was hot and tasted fresh. Read more
Wow! This place is pretty good. I was craving a bite to eat in the evening, and saw this place had good reviews. I got the... blackened mahi mahi burrito with Mexican corn. VERY GOOD! There is also a salsa bar with some great options like jalapenos andcarrots, in addition to plenty of salsas. The price is fair for the quality and quantity. Also, I used to mobile app to placemy order which made it very seamless. The cashier and staff seemed very friendly. The place was pretty clean on the inside. Just had my first meal at Rubio's, and it won't be my last! The menu selection was great, service was fairly quick, and best of... all the food was great! I had a steak burrito, the size of the burrito was good for the price, and I loved the guac. I'll beback there soon! Read more
