Well I clicked on three stars but it really should be two and a half. Before covid this was my favorite place to eat Asian food.... I used to have wonderful baked tofu that was so firm and it could be found nowhere else it also came with a delicious sauce thathad scallions and Ginger. Now they only have soft tofu that they deep fry if you wanted deep fried. they did not add any Gingeror scallions to my broccoli and rice dish so it was very boring. I guess I would say it was clean food but devoid of interest.Very disappointed and probably will not return. Oh I forgot to mention it's more expensive now. Read more
I had the Spicy General Tso's Chicken and was impressed with the quality, especially given that it's a chain. The portion was... huge for the price ($11), and service was quick even though the restaurant started to fill up after I sat down. Whoever wasworking the front counter at lunch time on 7/7/22 deserves a raise, as he took orders, delivered orders, seated guests, andcleaned tables by himself. This is my favorite Chinese food in Tucson so far, so I plan to be back to this location soon. Edit:Went back in a month later and the service was still awesome, but the Thai Dynamite Chicken was pretty awful and tasted likefrozen chicken nuggets in ketchup. We are regulars to Pei Wei, so as always we were greeted by the manager, Amber. Our take out order was hot and ready when we... arrived and the food was outstanding. We also noticed how the visiting manager thanked all of her employees and wished them agood evening. The manager also offered us a cup of water for the drive home. We'll be back soon! Read more
Wanted to eat here, hadn?t before. Was excited about find a Chinese restaurant that had gluten free options, and it could have... become a regular place for us to get food. But the establishment canceled our Uber eats order 10 minutes after we placed it.Guess we won?t give Pei Wei our business. Read more
On their website they offer "Free delivery on orders over $20". I ordered $31.86 worth of food. After paying I see I was charged... $6.24 in "Taxes and fees". The tax is $2.77, so the fees are $3.47. How is that free delivery? One of my orders had the wrongrice, no biggie. My food was extremely oily and not spicy, so avoid the drunken noodles. I called and let them know and theyseemed indifferent. So don't set your hopes high. Read more
This place used to be nice. Then they stopped accepting smart pay from your phone. They were one of first in area to have Coke... Freestyle machines. Also gone. They use the fatty skin and scraps for all the chicken dishes except their orange chicken whichyou get like 5 nuggets of chicken. The restaurant is beat up. Tonight's meal was less than good. The Miso salad had 1 - 1/2 tomato and bruised lettuce. The teriyaki tofu and vegetables was... missing the peppers but was loaded with pea pods. There were at least 3 different sizes of carrots from thin and small roundsto thick 1/2 dollar size chunks. The worst part about the tofu and vegetables dish - ordered for a vegetarian - was the chunkof chicken in the dish. The Mongolian beef, ordered with no scallions, had scallions but had a note on the lid that they heldthe cilantro - cilantro isn't listed as an ingredient...? To top it all off, the lids on the sauces were put on the wrongcontainers. ******UPDATE****** This meal was ordered on 5/23 and cost just over $29 - today 6/4 I received a standard formapology and a $5 gift card. I'm my opinion, for the amount we paid and the number and seriousness of the problems, I'm notsatisfied with their response and recovery. Read more
My husband and I have been doing business with Pei Wei for many years. We order from Pei Wei (Broadway, store number 0030) for... most of our catering events, which is weekly. We have never seen more professionalism than when we work with Amber and Josh. Their knowledge and expertise is beyond superior! The end result is the customer is happy. Read more
