We arrived at 3 pm with my son and his family visiting for the holidays. There was a 30 wait that was 45 min no big deal there... was so many people showing up we figured it was a must wait. Finally get seated and ordered we waited another hour and familiesthat showed up 20 minutes after us had been served and completed their meals. We went and asked about our food then magicallyour food came out soggy and been sitting there for who knows how long. Was extremely busy but so disappointing. Then nosupervisor or anyone would talk with me only the server she was nice but unacceptable. I never leave a bad review only good butso disappointed we experienced anything this bad. Read more

A bit of a wait on Saturday evening, but it was well worth it. Visiting from Phoenix and came here based on reviews and $$... $10-20 price point. Parking lot was busy.. good sign. Waited about 30 minutes, and observed many regular diners greeting thestaff as they came and went. The staff even hugged some, so there's a real caring and loving family vibe here. Despite the rush, they did a good job clearing tables and seating diners quickly. The food came quicker than I expected. My pork chili wasexcellent and so tender. My wife enjoyed her pork chimichanga and son ate every bit of his chicken chimichanga. Will come backhere if I have the chance. Read more

Having to wait an hour to be seated is completely unnecessary but that is the standard here. But the truth is the food is always... worth it. The service is just okay but this last time I was there, our server (Elsa) was beyond outstanding. The prices are veryreasonable and the portions are large. Read more

Very authentic, delicious, friendly, and colorful. The staff is here to help and have fun with you. The food is akin to... homemade. Variety of soups is impressive. Dishes prepared went fresh ingredients and that reflects in the flavor of the food.Margarita is delicious and packs plenty of punch. Visiting Tucson and we are very happy we stumbled upon this spot. Mi Nidito is one of Tucson's most recognized Mexican restaurants. It is so well known that even the President of the United... States ate here! If you are hungry enough, order the Presidential Plate! Be prepared to wait! The wait time can be very long, but the food is worth it! It is not a very large restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. I had the Birria Chimichangaenchilada style. My wife had the flautas. We were extremely pleased with the dinners! Servings were generous. The rice waseven above average. I have been wanting to eat here for quite some time and finally decided to simply go and wait to beseated. It is located in South Tucson a short distance south of 22nd Street. Read more

Good Mexican food, although if it weren't for all the publicity and hype, I feel as though it would be yet another family-run... restaurant in Tucson. That being said, the food was good, and the margaritas were GREAT! The portions were large, which is muchappreciated given the price, and the cheese-stuffed chili relleno was very good. I got the combination plate #1, and my s/o gotthe President's Plate. Both were good, and all the food came out hot. I would highly recommend either of these plates toeveryone, and also would like to recommend their frozen peach margarita... excellent and have an extremely smooth taste (likelydue to its potentially low alcohol content) and appealing presentation. I do recommend this restaurant, and respect itshistory. This is an easy recommendation to anyone in the Tucson area! Read more
