Grinder bread is totally different now, and not in a good way. Pastrami thick and chewy like the bread, rather than thin, juicy... and stacked. Eegees lemon tastes different. New owners are ruining a local icon. Read more

Good afternoon for lunch there with my son the Best Italian grinders and meatballs subs out of all the sub-chain restaurants... I've been to Eegee's has to be the all time favorite taste of my hometown Tucson. Please bring back Soft pretzels!. Read more
My wife went there today and ordered a French fry and eegee ice . She opened the bag in the car and saw there was literally a... hand full of fries. She didn?t want to create a fuss but also notes they were stale old fries . Terrible food during this trip . Read more
Seems like Eegees keeps getting worse. Ordered a big order and even repeated it three times at least to the guy! Still came out... wrong!! Bread we were given was wheat and seemed smaller than usual. We did not ask for all sandwiches to be wheat only one. Thebread was not fresh tasting and was tough! Asked for no tomatoes they were still put on. The cheese pretzel ordered was eitherreally old or they changed them to wheat did not tast right! Ordered many fries and they tasted old and cold.Even though the guysaid he was dropping them at the moment we ordered.Very disappointed in the quality of food!! Absolutely the worst meal we've ever had at Eegees. Literally nothing was right from the mushy bread, sloppy sandwich, cold,... undercooked fries (after asking for well done fries 3 times) and flat soda. Called the manager 7/26 around 12pm and shecouldn't care less. Awful food and awful service. Nicely done Eegees. Read more
I am changing my review from 4 stars to 3 stars. I am a native Tucsonan, and I used to love Eegee?s until the last couple of... years. I still like it, but I don?t love it. The quality isn?t quite the same- such as meat to bread ratio, and it?s tooexpensive for what you get, and orders not being made correctly has happened more often. I am speaking for myself and otherpeople that have complained about it not being as good as it was. As for the good parts- Their meatball sub is better thanSubway. I always asked for extra sauce, because it seemed a little dry otherwise. I?m sure that?s to avoid it getting soggyright away. If you like it saucier and will be eating it right then ask for more sauce. ???? I don?t recommend gettingsandwiches toasted. It can be hit or miss if they end up over toasted/burnt. They are known for their Eegee drink (a smoother,more solid version of a slushy/icee type of beverage) for those that aren?t from the area or had one before. They have theregular flavors of strawberry, lemon, piña colada (they may have a couple other regular flavors I?m not aware of, I know it?sonly a select few flavors though) getting half strawberry and half piña colada together is pretty good. Teagees are good, thestandard is tea with lemon Eegee (or if you choose another flavor). They also have a flavor of the month. People I know tend tolike the watermelon flavor a lot. I really liked when they had strawberry kiwi. They do fun flavors for holidays. One Halloween,they had caramel apple that I got for my kids, but that one was much too sweet and not my boys didn?t really like itunfortunately, so not all the flavors are a hit, but generally they tend to be good. The experience was awesome the crew was friendly and welcoming. First appearance is everything and they nailed it, the bathroom... was clean and the dining room was also clean and well maintained straws, napkins and more were stocked. The only area they coulddo better which is why I didn?t give a 5 star is while taking the order they missed a few items. Now in light of this theycorrected the mistake promptly and polite so in closing I will definitely support the company and most of all this location it?sa great spot. Read more
