Definitely some of the best Jamaican food that we've had so far in Tucson. A bit pricy for the portions but delicious!!
Recently visited D's Island Grill and was so impressed! I ordered the jerk chicken salad to-go and was pleasantly surprised by... how beautiful it looked when I got to my destination to eat it. It was a rainbow made up of a wide array of veggies and fruit--the freshest salad I've ordered out, ever. The jerk chicken served on the side was great with it! Well worth the money. The worst Jamaican restaurant in Tucson!!! Watered-down curry chicken with fat and skin, should call it curry chicken soup. Rice... n peas OVER COOKED. Dry fried chicken (a portion I could feed my 3yr old). GRESSY and UNDERCOOKED festival and the vegetables inthe ackee n salt fish are undercooked. Now I spent over 120.00 and it's a shame that I have to force myself to eat it because Ican't see myself throwing 120.00 in the trash. I can't believe you would serve your customers festival with melted plastic on itbecause u were to lazy enough to let the festival cool off before putting it in the plastic plate. So glad to come across D?s Island Grill on UberEats ? the menu offers an excellent change of pace, with a wide range of proteins... to please all (chicken, tilapia, snapper, shrimp, goat, oxtail, pork, and more). Thoroughly enjoyed our three entrees (jerkchicken, tilapia tacos, and curry shrimp), and there are several veg items available too (callaloo, ackee, plantains, rice andbeans, etc.). The portions are well-cooked and -packaged, and they?re also extremely generous ? made two dinners and a lunch outof our order and felt as though we?d even added in dessert, with those yummy sweet fry breads. This is an authentic Jamaican spot. Great food quality and good service. Recently tried their coconut shrimp and chicken... quesadilla which were delicious but I?ve also had the jerk chicken platter. They never disappoint and make me feel like I?m backon the island. I love that they?re close to home as well. Read more
