For a $30 single meal where. I paid $2.50 extra for brown rice I would think that if I asked for a little more rice I would... receive it. But no, they wanted to charge me more money. and they certainly didn?t give me a full bowl of brown rice either It?s like OK good you don?t get any tips little boy. and it?s also like OK good I?m not going go to Daos restaurant anymoreeither. Good Food & Excellent Service! Jen was the nice lady who waited on us and she was just such a hoot! She made my visit there... absolutely fantastic! I ordered their Pho Xe Lua. It was around $15 for a large bowl. I?ll be honest coming from a family that came to the U.S on a... boat from Laos, I wasn?t impressed with their Pho. I grew up eating authentic Pho from my grandmother throughout mychildhood. I felt like their broth wasn?t very tasteful. I couldn?t taste the flavor from the beef bones you?re supposed boiland soak in the broth that?s key to the entire soup. All I was really tasting was aromatics/herbs and that was with me addingsauces to it to try and flavor it better. The noodles were all stuck and clumped up in a ball and weren?t separating very welleven in the hot soup. Not sure what the deal on that was. This may be a good dish to an average, non-Asian person who?s neverate this type of food but for me it was a miss. I think this restaurant probably has other really good dishes to choose from,but just have way too many menu options of food to pick and create. That usually ends in a lot of dishes being mediocre or flatout not enjoyable. Read more
