Reviews for Daisy Mae's Steak House in Tucson, AZ
Takes awhile for food to get to your table. Don't overload on appetizers, because main dish portions a pretty large. It'll be... worth the wait. Read more
Great menu and reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food. Glad that we selected to split a plate which was well... worth the extra cost. Steaks are grilled outside above a wood fire. Can be seen from a number of tables in the Red Room. Service personnel very friendly and attentive. Allow extra time for the preparation of your meal. The presentation and flavorswere worth the wait. Very unique atmosphere. Read more
We went before the dinner rush because we had a concert to get to. Not busy and we were greeted and seated immediately. Staff... was friendly and polite. Waitress approached took our drink order. We ordered dinner when drinks delivered. Salad came outquickly(tasty). When the entrees were delivered, asked if we needed anything else, we were good. After that it seemed like thewaitress disappeared never came back to check on us. Had to flag down a busperson to order more beer, to get to go containersand order dessert. The restaurant was not busy! Hubby ordered ribeye, i ordered the filet. Ribeye was delicious, the filet wasok. The beans were tasty and the baked potatoes were perfect. I didn't like the salsa. Spicy but lacked flavor. The beers werenice and cold. The vanilla ice cream was yummy. We took apple pie (was lacking in flavor and weak crust)and turtle cheesecake(really good) home. It was a nice place and a good meal. Everything thing wasn't perfect but we will return. If I could giveyou a 4.5 I would. Read more
My husband and I ate here last night for the first time. We had dinner with another couple who have enjoyed other meals here... and especially like the ribs. We all ordered rib dinners. As far as the food goes, the ribs were the positive part of themeal - the meat was tender and fell off the bone. Since they are prepared on a Mesquite grill I was surprised they did nothave a smoky flavor. Only one type of BBQ sauce was provided and I found it to be fairly bland. The meal came with a salad, baked potatoes, beans and bread. The salad was terrible - a very small amount of old, brown, wilted lettuce - one of the worstsalads I have had in awhile. I ate a few bites and then gave up. The sour cream, butter substance and green onions for thepotatoes were ?slopped? together in a small salad bowl for the four of us to pass around and share. The bowl was messy and thiswas awkward. The beans seemed fairly good but they came barely warm and the bowl we were supposed to all share was very small. Our wait staff did say that we could have more refills of the sides if we wanted but it would be nice to start with enough foreveryone. Our friend ordered hot tea and it came in a regular glass rather than a cup with a handle. The waiter who broughtit didn?t seem to think this was unusual. She was unable to hold a very hot glass and we had to get someone to bring a cup forher and transfer the liquid. For the most part though the wait staff was pleasant. The restaurant building itself is worn andtired looking. The tables are old, the chairs are frayed and my chair rocked back and forth every time I moved forward to eat. Our dining companion also complained about his chair. The bathroom was an unpleasant experience. I could barely get into thestall and close the door and I am not a big woman, fairly trim. The lighting was also quite dim, so hard to see what I wasdoing. When I mentioned to the hostess that the bathroom stall was a tight squeeze, sh Read more

The chicken wings were delicious but the steak was very disappointing. For a steakhouse (and the price) I expected a perfectly... cooked steak but half was well done and half was almost rare....I asked for medium rare. I'd go back for wings but thats aboutall. Read more
11/26/21: ASK for your military discount and show ID. Beautiful drive to Daisy Mae's. Arrived with a 4p reservation; ample... parking and people were starting to quickly fill in after 430p. I went in blindly to restaurant, no research. I have to writethat there are way more beers, spirits and wine than food which seems somewhat lopsided. Decor is older, but clean. Some ofthe meat is at MARKET pricing so be ready for sticker shock. Staff / customer service was good. Ordered Ribeye, 1/2 rack ofribs, 10oz pork chops comes with salad, beans and baked potatoes. Meats were good, highly seasoned. Meats are also GRILLEDOUTSIDE on a mesquite-wood pit. Small, hot baked potato. Beans were okay, salad was salad (many dressings are offered). Givethis place a try and see what you think....Happy eating! Read more
Horrible service. We order our drinks and they give us an excuse that they are out of glasses so we get our drinks in a... styrofoam cup! Then we order ribeye steaks medium and we get VERY RARE steak and the server tries to take the uneaten steak andso she can throw it back on the grill which is a health code violation ! I could not believe it. Of course the excuse was "Ohyou came on a busy night" when the heck am I supposed to come then to get good service? Unacceptable! Manager was apologetic andI almost believed him until he said we got slammed and you came on a busy night! We finally got our fresh steaks and yup burntto a crisp I guess they don't know what a medium cooked steak is?I highly recommend going to another steakhouse like silversaddle or cattle town. DO NOT COME HERE! Read more
