I worked here over a decade ago, when the owner's were just setting up the place and getting it going (old location). The owner... and his family were amazing people. The sandwhiches were the bomb, craving it now but I'm in a different state! Read more

I enjoyed their old location several times in the past and I looked forward to visiting this new location. The corner needs good... places to eat. The new location is just uninspired humdrum. After waiting too long in a short line to place an order, thesandwich was only average. The place felt more like an institution cafeteria. Something is missing here. I've enjoyed burritosat the taco place at Campbell and Speedway a lot more. 2.5 stars would be a more accurate rating. Since visiting here a whileback, I've had no desire to return. I may try to give them another chance, but I'm really not keen on the idea. Read more

Work buddy decided to take me here yesterday, I heard a lot of hype and what not about this place and just thought, what ever a... bunch of stoned kids with sandwiches. I got the white widow.... ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! I don't smoke weed, but if this is what potheads come up with for food.... then every restaurant needs a load of stoned people working in the kitchens. Seriously blownaway by their sandwiches. I can't wait to go back! Read more

The food is always wonderful but our last visit was such an unpleasant experience. Juan F took our order and never asked us what... kind of bread we wanted and he rushed us through the ordering process. There was no one in line behind us and we were nottreated respectfully. He had AirPods in, wouldn?t make eye contact and was so rude and disrespectful. I left a tip on my cardwhich was optional but I still decided against my better judgement and gave them one anyways. When another man brought us ourfood he threw the plates down and wouldn?t answer my question regarding what sandwich he put in front of me, ignored me andwalked off. Michael was his name. Everyone else was very kind. Read more

I had their magic mushroom sandwich and I was blown away. Out of all the other sandwich places they spearheaded their way to my... number 1 favorite sandwich place. Not only that they sell beer too, who wouldn't love this place. Honestly 10/10 would recommendchecking this place out. Totally would have added a picture of my sandwich but i ate it so fast i didn't get the chance to.Don't order for take out, you should sit and enjoy the whole experience. Read more

I was worried the place was going to be filled with lots of high folk doing high folk things, but it wasn't, it was just like a... normal restaurant which I appreciated. Subs were awesome and competitive in pricing to the sub chains. Very busy and difficultto find seating - student groups seem to make it their event hangout and they come in masses. Maybe better at other times butno luck for me. Read more

Very poor sandwish (wish there was more meat). How does this get over three stars? The meat was almost non existent. This... sandwich was mostly bread and lettuce. The bread tasted and had the texture of subway rolls. The ?toasted? part was really thesame as if you microwave a roll until it?s a bit chewy. The pics don?t lie. There was MAYBE 3-4 (generous on my part) playingcards thickness of meat. I don?t expect a whole deli counter but for the money, maybe don?t make it like there?s a meat shortagein your restaurant. You could afford more meat if you didn?t spend so much on lettuce. The pics show how much I took off andthere?s still a salads worth on there. They have the ?make it a salad option?. I COULD HAVE, if I just threw the roll out. Theygive you PLENTY of salad! Glad I?m only here for a short time if this is the go to sandwich place. NYC, I can?t get back soonenough. Read more

This was my first time at the new location, but I visited the old location across the street numerous times. The food was always... great but the atmosphere was poor and they must have had a swamp cooler because it was always hot and muggy. The new locationhad a great vibe, was clean, very spacious and well decorated. A bar was also added to the new location that expanded theiralcohol offerings beyond beer. I got a cocktail that was fantastic, it was called the hot box. My girlfriend got a mimosa thatwas made with white wine instead of champagne, not quite what she was expecting. I had a Kali mist on garlic bread which wasincredible. The bread was soft but had a nice crispy crunch on the outside, but not too crispy that hurts your mouth like somebread [I?m looking at your beyond bread! ;) ]. My girlfriend got a white widow which she certainly enjoyed. Everyone on thestaff we interacted with was friendly and pleasant, except the order taker/cashier. He had a mask on with that said ?don?t touchme peasants? or something similar, he was not pleasant what-so-ever and seemed irritated with us simply for ordering. Despitehim the experience was great, all staff was great and a gentleman even came around several minutes after we got our food to askus how everything was, which you normally don?t see near the university (for the most part). Will definitely be coming back, andcertainly won?t let one unpleasant cashier stop me from giving a 5 star review which they definitely deserve. Read more
